No need for a big jack. I've been using a $29.99 Pep Boys jack that fits in a tool bag for over a year with no probs. If you have problems getting under the car bring a couple 2x4's with you to drive up on. That is what I do because I run 17" wheels up front while drag racing and can't get underneath while on 17" wheels on all four corners (3" ground clearance)

Also my friend Mao's 300 SRT8 is lowered (shorter springs) and he cuts 1.6 60' times with drag radials so I'm not sure your suspension will make that much of a difference. Also isn't your suspension setup adjustable?

I always have a set of 2x4's that I keep with me to throw under the car if I need to jack it up for something....you can get in there from the back of the car too....

Chase, you could also try some Nitto 20" DR's...they won't get you the traction you would with the Hoosiers, but would be tons better than a standard street radial, less costly, no change outs at the track, and can still use them on the street...If you heat the piss out of them at the track, and the right pressure (about 15-18 psi) you can achieve very good traction.

Yea, I don't think lowered is any different than stock and stock ain't bad (unless you went to really stiff shocks/struts when you lowered it). You could IMPROVE or optimize for launching with a suspension that allows the car to do a controlled squat (see JMATT).

Except for one thing. You're both wrong.

hehehee, ya I know, sorry for being so blunt, :friends:

Our rearends when lowered, the camber goes negative. When they camber goes negative, so does the toe. When that happens it scrubs speed in a huge way. Being lowered and having the proper alignments is a good thing. That means offset bushes for both the upper control arm and traction arm. You want the front to lift, but you don't want the rear to squat.

The only guys with killer 60's are either bone stock or have soooo much power they can muscle their way out of the hole or have corrected suspensions.

Chase, just get your self a set of Borbets and 28" tall MnH's and have fun bud. You won't rub anything.

Sorry, you were just wrong (by yourself - lalalala).

I wasn't implying that you could squat on the stock suspension. and Cam, go squat on a Bud. <- blunt

I never thought I would see the day that Chase made it to the track. 115mph is good for mid to high 11's with traction. Congrats on the first time experience chase, let me know when you are going next time and I will meet you at the track. My charger should be done soon.

bbig congrats chase!!! not bad at all for your first time....... little slower than my first time out with the blower, but damn similar mph!!! very nice brother!!!

as for the d/r's........ read what cam says! i have the same set up and don't rub....and i am every bit as low as your sled!! lol

    bingo!!!

wow....... steve sounds like he knows what he is talking about! lol

being low and trying to get good 60' times is kinda of an oxymoron.....

ummmmm dave...... you missed on this one......

exactly!!!! this was the very reason scotty tore out the kw's out of his car after the first time down the track!!!!

btw - good call on the borbets..... i love mine.....

no kidding andy........ still in awe that chase took the car to the track!!! lol

Get a set of Nitto DR'S, I have a set, started out mid 12's, then the weather setlled down, and 11.7 @118 . They work well on the sreet also. A liitle practice, you'll be in the 11's.

Yes. I have KWV2's, but I don't like messing with them unless I HAVE TO. I'd rather not mess with it.......
Yup. I have to do this when I clean the inner wheel barrels in the garage, lol.
Sounds great!!! But I run 22's for my street setup. :(
Thanks bro!! And if you'd return a fuggin phone call I might just do that!!! :)
