AutoX, Roadcouse Roll Call Where are all the Road racers, Auto Xers and Rallyers at  :woot: We finally have a section:
See I was trying to get into road racing myself, but then I realized I do not have the attention span to handle races longer than 15 seconds...
Hahaha, adrenaline and competition keeps my attention span. A sport burning a hole in my pocket does not ha. But I want to give it a try because it looks fun and you get to know what the car is capable of and the handling side of it.
first off track down a local road couse and get information about when they have open track. and ask them if they knw if they host autoX or know who does then do it. Road coursing will tend to get expensive since you will go though alot of tires auto X shows your ability to handle the car and is easer on the tires
You can also look up the SCCA and find out when and where there having Auto X events in your local area like here in ABQ and sournding area the SCCA hosts events at the local casinos or in giant parking lots and if your doing road courses your gonna wanna put more air in your tires on my wifes Cavalier which has the ACR BBS rims the tire pressure is set at 45psig to help keep the tires from rolling over on Falken 225/50 tires
Jesus is the one who got the section installed im just trying to see how many of us there are:rockon: but im not too much of a fan of stright line its too short, and all it shows is i threw this much money into my car it has little to do with the persons ability do drive you can throw a person who cant drive into a fast car and they will run a fast time but if you put that person in some corners they would $hit them selves:fever: me for example on the stock suspention and stock rims with only the front strut bar, the yellow skittle out handled an M3 and a Carrera and corded the right front tire, a FWD car taking on RWDs :aggressive: and i still have that right front tire in my shed:rockon: im so proud of that:drugs:
There's a number of us here in SoCal that indulge regularly in road track events, drag racing and autocross. We'll be posting upcoming events on a regular basis. Newbies MOST DEFINITELY welcome!!! Stay tuned. :thumb3:
I will also post events in our local area as well I wanna do at least a couple out of state events next year the postings will alow some of us to plan ahead :thumb:
I don't know If I'd consider myself an AutoX'er.........but I try. I've run a few AutoX through the SCCA solo series here in ATL. Talk about fun......It is awesome fun. One of these days I'm going to find a PDX to try my hand running around a road course.
