We're waiting on Diablo to repair my Predator. I misunderstood Cam. I thought they got my tune installed before leaving SF. They used his to clear my codes. So after talking to Cam again about 3 weeks ago I contacted Mike at Diablo. I needed a receipt, which I had never got from GSM. I contacted Dan and he got me out one ASAP. So Diablo got it on the 12th after I went thru the formalities to get an RSA#. After re-reading their fine print, it states that it can take up to 30 days plus transit time to get it back. I left a phone message with them last Wednesday or Thursday and have not recieved a call back. I sent PM's to Mike today on the Connection and copied it to him on LX. Hopefully he can expedite it for me. My old PCM was fried. The car will start up and idle beautifully with it. But there is no TB control. The new PCM won't even start the car, due to all of the custom tuning needed. We are in the process of removing my oil pump to check to see it there is any damage from the badly designed K1 crank. Many, not all needed the crank gear to be radiused to fit properly. There was a bulletin sent with the shortblock, but Steve said he never saw it. We got the 1st 2 Arrington K1's sent to GSM. I have an Arrington 90MM TB coming from John at Modern Muscle. We will machine my INDY intake for the 90MM. Next will be plumbing the AECarbon AEFIS Stage II. MIne is a little different, as we will be doing the 2 nozzle NX N20/Methanol setup. Will probably run single stage at 1st, and as we make sure everything works right, we will go to a 2 stage progressive setup up to a maximum of probably a 250 shot. This setup is really cool. It uses 2 motorcycle fuel pumps for the methanol. So running straight meth, there is no need for extra fuel. So the stock fuel pump will work fine. I really had very little fuel pressure loss when we did 623/650 with a 150 shot. My 505/506 was done NA with only 21 degrees of timing. My B&G II was like 24.5 and the Stage III was almost 29. lol We won't have any good weather till winter now, so not a big hurry now. More possible carbon fiber from AECarbon. Maybe a cowl hood, and a couple of other surprizes. I've been very quiet about this. Joe has got the new harneses in and they have worked thier asses off making my car better than ever, for which I'm very thankful. They are waiting for the Predator and the TB to get the car running right. We're all really looking forward to that day. There is some talke of a "It's Alive" M&G at AE Carbon when Rodney is completed and all shiny again.
Mrs. Brown, can Billy come out and play. Why no Johnny, you know Billy has no arms and legs. I know, said Johnny, we want to use him for second base. Yeah, I know. Who's on first.
Great attitude, and thanks for the update...was wondering about you and your car...Can't wait to see it all buttoned up and screaming down the 1320.
