Alright count me almost in. Just picked up the car from the dealer, they replaced the PCM, 2 front 02 and a high speed fan. I still need to call in sick and try to get some tires here by Friday morning.
Good luck guys. Have a great time. Wish I was going. Damn I wanted to go. I've got my best friend from the Navy, birthday party on Saturday in El Cajon.
Yeah Boy! To bad my ass couldnt make it, I burnt the candle on both ends all week and have been sick the whole time. I wasnt about to make a run out there unless we had some good DA, I heard it was 2000+ yesterday. Cam said its 85* out there. Hopefully they make good use of time over a Bobs today, I know a few culprits have raised there ugly heads today. Good Luck Cam, Steve!
85* maybe like 185* well at least it felt like it . It was over 100* when I did my first pass and I don't think it went below 90* at 10pm. We'll we all new it was going to burning up so here's he results with even the DA at +2500 . I could not get into the 11's for nothing Cam said that he was going to buy me drinks all night if I could . The car went from 12.03 to 12.07 like 5 times no mater if it was 100* 95* or 90*. And my fan mod is not working I need some help the car was around 205* and 215* when I hot lapped it . Cam went 12.4 's, they were still tuning out there with every pass and the car was going faster and faster. The last pass of the night me and Cam rolled up and he almost got me he cut and .08 against my .2 light so i knew i had to pull on him. I ran a 12.03 to cams 12.41 so It was a good race one of the closest one i ever had. The jeep was running 11.6's all night and he jetted up and went 11.59 but you can here something slipping so were gonna see a 10 second jeep if everything holds together and shift right. And we had my buddy Elton who finally got his car in the 12.3 with a 100 shot.
Thanks for the update, Low 12's in that weather is damn good for all you! Congrats you guys. How big a shot was Steve doing?
Yup, it was a good time. I had several small issues that added up and cost me dearly. We didn't get a chance to really tune the ride. She was running good, but there is a long way to go. More when I get home. Here is mine and DVS's slip. Hey bud, damn good thing your ride is toooooo fricking fast. I gave him enough time of the line to finish a 7 course dinner and he still kicked my ass. :worthy:
I need to do something new because once you get that thing tune and squared away you might be pulling on me.
I was spent this week, Needed to rest, Between work and 2 cars I was going nuts, 3am departure, All day at SVS, Race all night, not sure Id still be standing. Plus I really want to make the 500 mile trip when I know the weather is cooperating. Make it worth it. OTOH you guys ran damn good for the conditions. Congrats!
Damn, DVS your car is just flat out sick. Get that tune finished Cam and your car will be just as sick
I don't want to give details or anything, but when one of the issues was discovered and Cam basically 'flipped the switch' I got to see something happen on that dyno I've not seen before. Was just awesome to see. Well done guys. Was fun hanging out at the track. Bob and I looked over at the parked Bean more than a few times... I've GOT to get me some shafts someday... and then learn how to really 'drive' it!
His mouth........:harhar: :rofl2: Hahahaha, I don't remember right now. I just got home, nice little 12 hour 600 mile drive home.
My 5th and last time down the track was 11.5@120mph. The torque converter was slipping bad and never recovered the whole 1/4mile run and the tires went up as soon as it hit 2nd gear....I could smell the tranny cooking and figured why push my luck. Even with all the drama 11.5@120 aint bad for the Jeep. Looks like I need the trans looked at and a stouter converter to hold the power!
