For those of you with the RB1 system and the Mopar OEM Sirius system I have a question. Can you get the "Best of XM" package? You know, the one that gives you all the Sirius channels plus the premium XM ones like "The Virus" with Opie & Anthony?

I don't see why they would restrict it? It's just a regular Sirius receiver and antenna. No reason they would restrict the subscription because it's in a car.

On the Sirius site it says the radio has to be "Best of XM" compatible.

Have you tried asking Sirius this question? Either from their website or calling their 800 number?

The problem is I currently don't have the unit so if I call they will ask me my "SID" of the radio and such, and don't want to spend $300+ to find out I can't add it.

But StevoSRT you say you have it? Is the part number for your oem unit also 82206488AB ?

What year vehicle are you getting the system from? Or is this an aftermarket unit?

I have an 06 and just went out and verified that I DO NOT get this package. Keep in mind, it "May" be an additional cost?

I really suggest that you get the 800 number from the link I provided you earlier and verify with Sirius.

They deal with that all the time... "I don't know, it's the radio that came in my 2006 Dodge Magnum"

i guess its a fair assumption that the newer radios (that were installed after the sirius/xm merger) may be the only ones capable of receiving the XM signal

you can email the sirius support team and provide them with the PN and ask.

Otherwise you can get a new receiver on an OEM radio to get the signal

So StevoSRT is the Sirius kit you bought Mopar part number 82206488AB ? I just ordered one and when it comes in will call sirius to see if I can get their best of xm package. If not then i'll sell the unit.

So I bought the Mopar Sirius Kit part # 82206488AB because I got a good price on it 100% new! The only way I could call Sirius to check the eligibility was to purchase a radio and give them my Sirius ID. In case anyone reads this wondering the same thing this radio with the part number listed above is NOT compatible with the "Best of XM" package which for me means NO Opie & Anthony, which means this thing is going on ebay still new, un-opened, and sealed. I guess is is good I only bought the receiver not the entire kit before finding this out.
