So... I love love love my new Challenger.... but and it is a REALLY BIG BUTT, every little bump in the road and I hear a plastic on plastic rattle! and I hate it!!! I have already isolated it to the area behind the glove box but i just cant figure it out. my problem is i dont want Jack @$$ 20yr old Tech hot rodding the 600 mile R/T around to find the Rattle.... I work at a Tire/alignment shop but 600 miles i mean come on a rattle!!!!! so im done venting. any idea's? lease:
well... if it's the same as the LXs the heater motor is in a large space directly behind the glove box. Remove the glove box and there is the big open space behind it with this huge motor mounted in there. It's pretty accessible. You might try tinkering in there a bit to see if it's something obvious/easy.
Yep done that. It sounds louder when the glove box is off. In truth it sounds like the hard plastic tube for the window washers being flicked around but I have taped them down and the noise is still there. I am going to give it another go here soon.
