The price difference between these two cars is roughly $10,000?
Is that price difference worth it?
What are main differences between these two Challengers?
SRT-8 392 engine and 2 positioning dampening suspension system over Challenger R/T with 346 engine 3.73 or 3.92 rear end.
Any other major differences that warrant the price difference?

I don't know much about the LX/LY platforms, but I can tell you...HELL Yeah the SRT version is worth every penny on the Neon's! My advice would be to drive them both, and see if it's worth it to you, since you're the one who has to live with the choice.

I test drove a 2012 SRT-8 Challenger with 6 spd. manual with 3.92 rear end-Standard on rear end. It was great BUT price was $51,000+ at dealership.:sorry: When I did a "Build your own" on internet it comes to $46,000+ or more. If it is a Yellow Jacket model will cost a little more than $46,000+ which they currently aren't making as this is limited production model.
I test drove a 2012 Mustang GT with 6 spd. manual with trac pac option which comes with 3.73 rear end-FAST:dancinlock:
I also test drove a 2013 Mustang GT 6 spd. manual without trac pac option with 3.31 or 3.55 rear end? Not as fast as the 3.73 geared Mustang GT.
But both are rev happy motors. The only problem is ride. You will feel the bumps in the road.
Dodge Challenger is a much more comfortable ride on real world roads.

I have yet to test drive a Dodge C hallenger SXT or R/T.

Yes the SRT is worth the $10K difference.....there is more than the 392 Hemi....brakes, suspension, launch contol, functional front and rear spoilers, air cooled front brakes, interior, and more....

I didn't know the SRT8 Challenger had launch control like the Shelby Mustang GT-500.

I See. Well that is the great thing about buying a new car. You get to break it in yourself and break it in right. got to love that new car smell too.

I can tell you with the Crossfire you bet your life the SRT version is worth every penny. I can't imagine the Challenger, Charger or 300 are any different.

Different Interiors, interior features (in the EVIC & Center Dash SRT App), Upgraded brakes & suspension, nicer wheels and the 6.4L HEMI w/ almost 100 extra HP lol.

I think that sums up the general differences lol
