A week ago I was on Thunder Hill and, in 90-degree heat as I was coming in from a particularly hard 20-minute session, I finally saw 250 degrees on the water temp. Actual road temp was about 243 but it climbed to 250 when I slowed to paddock speeds at the end of the session. I say 'finally' because I have some pretty serious cooling set up already. A Mopar Maximum Duty (export restricted and meant for Middle East-bound vehicles) radiator. Police oil cooler. Second oil cooler, second tranny cooler mounted in series and in first place that I know is good for about 20 degrees off the water temp. While this is unusually hot track weather for me, its time to consider an upgrade to the upgrades. You say that the capacity increase is 0.7 gallons to 1.3 gallons. Is this capacity increase measured over and above the Mopar Severe Duty II (SRT) radiator? Thats not over the Heavy Duty or Severe Duty I, right? Where do you make up the thickness difference? Take a look at some shots of my aux cooling setup (scroll down the page for the pics). Those shots were taken with the thinner, stock Heavy Duty rad (this used to be an RT once upon a time) and they do sort of make the stacked plate coolers look closer to the rad surface than they were. When the Maximum Duty radiator went in, the rad thickness went from about 0.5" to about 1.8". Most if not all of that added thickness went forward, so to speak, and reduced severely the clearance I have between the aux coolers and the rad. Still workable, but I lost about an inch. Do the fans still mount up onto your rad?

X2 about adding the answers ... Not that I want to add more weight... ( need to take Alot off) but I am looking at the hi capacity radiator as well. And have the same question about the fans.
1) Correct, this comparison was taken with the Duty II (SRT) 2) The difference is made up towards the the back of the bumper. I don't know that you would have room with the way you've set up your coolers. I'd like to say you would have no problem, but would hate to make promises as we based our fitment off the OEM setting. Very nice job by the way. Looks great. 3)Yes, the fans still mount with no problem. No modifications needed. As requested
