    I had the same issue with my GSM shafts which resulted in two torn boots. I sent them back to GSM and they also did the same for me as Ron and went to the smaller boot set-up. Give Dan a call and I am sure he will take care of you.

    Vacaville huh...your not to far from me, I am out in Yuba City. What other mods do you have done to your car?

    Hi Ron, I just talked with Dan, and he has talked with Scott, who told him that all GSM 1000 HP haft shafts now come with the smaller boot. I guess they are still mystified at why mine are rubbing, but the bottom line is they need to look at it in person. It will be awhile until I get down there, due to some international business trips I have lined up. If you get a chance could you measure what the diameter is of the large inner ring of the boot, on your boot.

    Thanks

    Just an FYI....there are new halfshafts going to be developed that include the tone rings.

    CV Boot Measurements

    I just measured my stock half shafts cv boot at the large inner ring of the three rings. The stock measured at 2.8 inches in diameter, and the 1000 HP half shaft large inner ring measured at 3.3 inches. If anyone who has GSM 1000HP half shafts with the smaller CV Boot, if you could measure the large ring closes to the wheel, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Ron, that's close enough to mine to think, my problem is somewhere other than the CV boot.

    My other suggestions would be to;

    1) raise the car and a use a jack to change angles on the suspension. See if touches when loaded, or simulating different turns...

    2) Make sure that the halfshafts are in the correct side? There is a left and right side shaft. Look or measure to ensure that both rear tires are even with the fender wells???

    Good luck and let us know what the fix is/was.

    Thanks Ron I really appreciate your help! I will try your suggestions, but I can't imagine them being on the wrong side. One of the crew members from the Mopar drifting team "Brad" is who changed them out. I will definitely let you know what the fix is.
