Need some info on whats needed to install my quaife, I know how to extract the actual diffhouse, but then what?
Do you need to shime the quaife or not?
I cant find a "how to" or instructions on the forum.

Sorry dude, can't help ya there, never been inside this pumpkin. I believe the gear lash (bearing pre-load) is set with shims. If was doing it myself,
    1. Drain oil
    2. Go here: http://srtconnection.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1357
    3. Once pumpkin is removed, remove cover. With dial indicator, check gear lash, and record it.
    4. Remove axle seals, Remove snap ring retainer of the bearing outer race.
    5. Remove outer race of bearing from housing.
    6. Remove carrier from housing.
    7. Remove ring gear from open carrier swap to the Quaife carrier (the ring gear bolts are typically left hand thread)
    8. Once the ring gear is installed to the LSD, reinstall LSD carrier and ring gear using the bearing races and snap rings that came out of it exactly like it was.
    9. With a dial indicator, check lash and be sure it's within specs.
    10. Reverse procedures from #2.

Pretty much exactly like that. Nice find. I'll go back and edit my uneducated instructions.
Now I see how they apply pre-load, it's with the snap rings retaining the bearing races. No shims required. If you're out of spec, likely the bearings are worn, change the bearings and you should be back into spec. for lash.

If I´m out of spec I have bigger issues with only 15.000 miles on the taco...
Your post was more educated than I was 10 minutes ago!

Ha, yea, you should be fine then. Should, but check lash anyway to be certain.
Happy to try and help buddy, even if I've never done this exact one, their is only so many ways it can be done.
