Sheeesh Kyle...do the valves EVER close? lol

We had almost identical cams before. Probably easier on the valve springs though...not such an aggressive ramp up.

This cams ramp is very aggressive, those lobes are damn near square!
While our cams were very close in .050" spec...I bet they behaved very different. My current cam is a tire frying, stump puller of a street cam, but where you live at on the track, it left a lot to be desired.
All my power is below 5300 RPM, on the track, you see that power from launch to shift into 2nd...from there you live 5300-6500 the next two gears to the trap.
With the new PW-240 cam, I should make more than adequate power down low, and peak at shift, recover around 5k and power never drop off.

Best ET now is 11.9 @ 115 MPH 1.74 60'....With the changes I've made with my 4" fender mount LMI, BBK 85mm TB, TranZformer shift kit (extends peak RPM to 6800) and this PW-240 cam...I hope to see low 11's.

Yea, i'm sore as hell. Just me, but it was fun...went at my own pace and knocked it out.
Took 10 hours straight, with a beer break or two...

In the Vid, i wasn't trying to showcase my Stant cap, i was checking the drivers side injectors, I had a vacuum leak at the injector o-ring, it had a split in it. Changed it out with a new one. You can hear the "hissssssssssss".

Wow man. Pretty impressed. I wish I could do that, if I stay NA I was wanting to do a bigger cam, but didn't want to pay $900 for install....

I hope this is my last cam until I pull the motor out again for a rebuild...This is my 3rd cam to install with the engine in car. It's not all that complex, just time consuming, especially by myself, without a lift. LOL... I used my forklift to lift the front end off the ground high enough to pull the radiator.

Nah, I didn't pull the heads. I took my time on purpose. My wife threw a Spa Party at my house, so I wasn't in any hurry to get home...I fiddle fucked around wiping this and zip tieing that...
If I had to charge someone to do it, it wouldn't be 900, but it wouldn't be 500 either...

Thanks Chase...sorry the quality sucks...vid had to be compressed to email it.

Erik, I can answer that already buddy, without question, it was worth the work. Top end is crazy on this cam in comparison to my last one, and the idle is just sick, vid doesn't do it justice...Gotta get me some new DR's and hit the track soon.
