Some of you may or may not know but the stock PT/GT intercooler is alot smaller the a stock SRT-4 and no one any more makes an aftermarket intercooler. so with that said, the search for a Universal begins. on top is the stock intercooler and on bottom is an AGP intercooler which is no longer made. so now your asking what is the stock size intercooler? what can i fit? well here they are. STOCK PTGT FMIC DIMENSIONS 18.5 x 6.5 x 2.5 HAHN FMIC 19 x 6.25 x 2.5 CCA SHORT FMIC 19.25 x 6 x 3.5 JOES STAGE 1 18 x 6.5 x 3.5 AGP FMIC 18 x 6 x 4.5 there are a few universal intercoolers available in size 18 x 6.5 x 3.5 some on ebay and some on google that ive found that are bar and plate, so all you would have to do is buy your IC and 3 mandral 90 elbows and 3 couplers and you can make your own IC and of course you'll have to cut your elbows to fit.
How much bigger is the stock SRT-4 intercooler, and/or would one fit as a replacement for the PTGT intercooler?
a few more inchs longer and since the front end is very narrow wouldnt fit. plus you would have to make the cold side bend up 90deg to connect with the cold pipe.
nev, are those CORE dimensions you posted or overall dimensions.. if they are core, gimme a day and i can probably find you a better IC for the price, even though the one you sent me is pretty cheap. you should bring the PT over here one day soon and we can get some measurements to stuff a big bitch under there.
you could but its probally cost more since their building it from sratch unlike other company that aleady have the materal and mass produce it.
