Anybody know if they have given the Hoosier slicks the axe too? Seems like I paid for them a long time ago and not seeing any updates from PPP.
I hope so....if not, it's fraud....and since its over the internet and crosses state lines, I think it would also be considered federal........
I wouldn't go overboard...unless I am mistaken nobody gave any money towards this....it was just a "throw a pic in your sig and post" dealy... When Andy or someone from PPP lets us know whats up then thats whats up.
True, you are right we should wait but the contest rules stated a winner on January 1....and they did receive something of value and that was a crap load of advertising on multiple forums. Contests rules and regs are extremely tight, and they are that way for a reason. Truthfully, I dont understand the reason for waiting to announce a winner. The finalists were determined way back at the end of the year. Anyway yes, we should wait and see how it pans out....the question is, "how long is reasonable"?
About my comments above, let me also admit and add that I do have an "axe to grind" with PPP on past issues. I think though, that my questions are reasonable. Really I am surprised that some forum operators haven't gotten a little pissy at this point..........
We got a little pissy back when all you guys all had those HUGE sigs... you know, time to load a page, etc, but we didn't have restrictions when it started so we tolerated them until it was over 'cause you guys wanted it.
The winner is not known at this time. The drawing has to be held at a public event. The first major public event for us is the LX and Beyond Nationals. At that time, a winner will be determined and prizes will be rewarded accordingly.
raffle it off at the Shindig so I can drive it back home with me .. kidding, for some reason I wasnt entered into the contest .. wtf andy HAHAHAHAA!!!
A formal announcement of this change and better communication about last years contest is probably warranted?
Andy told us all a while back that the contest was gin got be in july I am just an idiot and thought it was on fathers day for some reason
Was it in the form of an official thread? I do not recall such a thread. The issue here is that the drawing has changed several times since January 1st and it has taken a thread such as this one to get the information out. It is only fair to the members of these forums (you can throw in the forum owners if you would like) that formalities of changes to said contest is made public by the promoters. We all understand the challenges that have been going on these past couples years with the Economy, but that does not give an excuse for poor communication. IMO Andy, my last comment was not meant to be directed towards you by any means, it is a generalized statement as we have ALL fell into poor comms at point or another.
