Ok, it´s been dampening before but now its leaking so I have to do something. I don´t think its the pump that is leaking, more like the rack.
Is there a sealerkit to replace or do I have to buy the whole thing?

    Fredrik:)

Is it leaking at the boots (ends) or at the hoses? And hopefully Ron will chime in, he's a pro at breaking power steering parts...

It seems to be leaking by the boots, I have to get the car up on a lift and have a good look. I get a small puddle in front of the right front wheel.

Damn. Was hoping its the hose. I'm not aware of any seal kits for the rack. Last I heard, you have to replace the whole thing.

Probably caused by non use-age and frigid temps during the winter, makes the wiper seals brittle and will crack. Time for a new one i guess...

Haven't done it yet Larry, i'm at 43k, but plan to use the PS pump to pump in the new fluid. Undo the return line, and plug the hole...Get a friend to help, tell them to hold the pedal to the floor and crank the engine over with the starter (It won't start). Let the pump pull the fluid through the system and into a drain via the return line, while you keep a steady fill of ATF+4 going at the reservoir. Be careful, the pump will empty it in a hurry, make sure the "driver" friend has a visual on you so you can tell them to stop when need be. Once you get clean fluid coming out, replace hose and fill.

Got the car to a lift but to clean everything up and to see where its leaking, but the darn lift was broken and only lifted the car 3 or 4 inches...
Will take another look after the weekend, going to graduationpartys and stuff besides working all weekend so there is no time to do this.

My car leaked PSfluid all over my driveway to the point where the car felt like an old truck to drive the car. The dealer warrantied it for me though I probably shoulda figured out exactly what was wrong. I believe it was in fact a bad seal though.
