Ok, I guess I'll go against the grain and not talk shit about SRT Design owners who'll never be able to defend themselves here. As for someone boasting an actual SRT-8 badge and posing, yeah, that's asinine. Same with that guy with the SRT-6, there's a few guys who don't seem to get that there's more to the SRT badge than just a logo. I don't like anyone but the guys at the factory slapping that badge on a car. :thongue2:

That being said, SRT Design is a compromise for those guys who love the looks of the SRTs, but either can't afford or don't need the performance options. They don't have the 6.1 or the brembos, just some of the cosmetics. And they have a badge that clearly identifies them as such, so to me, that's not posing, just honest appreciation of how damn good the 300 C SRT-8 looks. So I have no problem with that. :thumb:

The guy described in the first post? Yeah, that guy needs to be embarassed in the worst way, guessing he is either over-compensating and likes to stuff socks in his shorts or knows absolutely NOTHING about cars and thinks the badge is just a badge. Either way, douchebaggery in the worst way. :bag::supergay:

Well before i go any further...

does anyone have a photo of what the SRT design badge looks like...i mean if the badge doesnt look like our badges...i'd be willing to give them a pass...

but if the badge looks REALLY close to ours...most people barely know what an SRT is and they will not be able to tell the difference between an "SRT Design" and an "SRTx"

like i said...i didnt have a problem with the appearance packages...thast A ok with me...its just the whole "SRT" thing that could be confusing that i no like...

    just my thoughts...

Bro, the badge looks just like ours except the right side says "design" instead of "8", it's total bs. I have to disagree with Tamara (sorry), I hate "appearance" packages, imo they're bs and take away from the value of the high end models. Again, imo.

Value? First of all, the resale on all of these cars (unless you never drive it and its a SuperBee and even then) is ASS, and second, we still have like $25k more in performance mods in our cars. I guess I don't understand being that angry over what someone else spent their money on. Some dipshit applying an aftermarket badge, sure, but someone who liked the looks and who isn't pretending to have anything other than the looks, big whoop.

You can tell instantly that these cars aren't SRT-8s because they don't have the brembos. BIG cosmetic difference.

And bear in mind, anytime someone asks them about their car and if its like the SRT-8s, they have the sad reality of saying, no, its JUST the 5.7. That in itself seems like punishment (if that's what you think they deserve) enough.

Whoa there tamara, don't go hatin on me, I'm just stating my opinion. And I'm not that angry about it, just peeved. And by value I meant more the bragging rights side than the monetary side. I'm standing by my opinion on appearance packages though, I don't like them, never have never will, they dilute the market. Slap on some stickers and bigger tires and charge $5K more is just bs to me. Besides, our cars need another trim level like Bush needs another hole in his head what with SLT, SXT, RT, SRT-8, it's enough already. IMO.

i guess im the middle ground here...i dont care about the appearance packages being offered...i'd just like it to have a different name or something...or just a very different label so that it cant be mistaken for a real SRT..thats all i'd like...

lets all play nice...we are just talking here

I'm not upset and you're entitled to your opinions, just seemed like a lot of emotion over what someone else spent their money on. I'm not a fan of people who put rallye stripes on their chargers, but I'm not screaming to the heavens about it. Its their money and their choice, so I don't feel its my place to go off about it. Now if it were forced on me, like someone did a ninja paint job on my car, you're damn right I'd be pissed. I guess I save my anger for important stuff... and when the Queertette get really out of hand..

No worries, we'll just agree to disagree Tam. Besides, I think I got way off track (not hard for me) since I think Adam was originally talking about some moron poser putting srt8 badges on an sxt or something, not an srt design car.

The queertette out of hand, na, never happen, lol! On a daily basis you must be angry then, lol!
