To JMatt, the new moderator for Drag Racing and Drift forums! JMatt is an enthusiast to say the least. Thanks JMatt for accepting this forum :good::ilovesrtc:
Thanks guys! Hopefully I can add some value here. I'm not a drifter, but have attended drifting events. I am an NHRA member, and race often. Happy to add info about anything I can. Just annoyed that we don't race in Indy again until April. May have to roadtrip south. Part of my plans include buying a trailer so I can drive to more drag racing events around the country this coming season. I could no longer gamble that stuff won't break and leave me stranded.
Congrats again Matt! I too am having dragrace withdrawals....would that trailer happen to be a double-decker? lol.
Which feeling? The worry that something WILL break. Or the realizatio nthat something DID break? LOL So far I've only had the former. But at 750 ft-lbs of torque, my halfshafts have been swearing at me.
Thats why I broke down and bought them......lol.There's alot going on for me this winter to make the car 10sec legal.I have an idea for a driveshaft hoop......I'll let you know how it plays out.
Congrats to you Matt. I to am an avid Dag Racer. I use to driver to the track my 1971 Ply Duster that had a 446 cubic inch Big Block (440) that had on some mild aftermarket mods and a 250 shot of N20. Through the exhaust on M & H Racemaster DOT Street Tires it ran 11.23 @ 122.76, drive it there and drive it home. This was back in 1986, a long time ago. Regards Chuck
Yeah I saw it......from the looks of it the fabricator was looking at doing an overkill cage in between the 9.99 cage and the 10.0 cage.......which is ok,but a bit heavier.
