I dunno Jimmy. Maybe its the mismatched paint, but something is not right with the blend of the body/door lines?

I would like another look once they repaint them...

    Sorry brotha.

ron, what are you refering to on the body/door lines? as far as the color being off. it pops the skirt out more, than it should. once it's blended, it will look uniformed. somewhat of a pain in the azz to put on, so i'm keeping them on for now.

    i know.

by adding the side skirts, it made the center look fuller. which is what i want, master plan. once the cf roof goes on, it will even out my ride and it will flow better, from front to back. it will weigh the center down more and that will pull the ends together. you guyz know what i mean.

ex. if my hood and decklid was silver. the side skirts would flow better over all. the cf hood and decklid breaks up the look with out the roof.

i hear ya jimmy, i just think you could have gone with someone else than rk. their design just looks cheap.....imho.

as far as what i and (i think) ron is saying, the design just doesnt flow with the original cars lines.

the arrows start where the "squared" off look begins and ends. its this that i think looks cheap. i am actually interested in how a black or carbon fiber type side skirt would look.

....actually i did a quick and dirty pic edit with black side skirts and it looks like you said, much thinner in the mid section.

dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm you guyz. you noticed. my wife noticed off the bat too. it's aggravating the sht out of me. nothing i can do. i'm hoping once it's blended, you won't notice it as much. keeping my fingers crossed. i looked at others, but i wanted something simple and that mimic the door lines. i'm thinking of trying a black decal strip, from end to end, but making the cut off at the ends equal. not sure if i should do the top and/or the bottom?

Really, I think once the paint is matched, it will blend better...

i think so too. now i just have to go thru the bs with getting it repainted. i hate it when they give the car back to you with overspray or missing clips/etc.. ugh!

    Jimmy -
I'm on the fence here man. I am with you, I am hoping that the correct paint fixes the problem. But it may not, in that case, I say remove them. I think it could look better just from the factory. This may be the ONE MOD you don't have to do!!! :)

But what spoiler is that? Where did you get it? And how much?

ps - I got your voice mail awhile back, and I shot you a text back, but I never heard back from you. But I'm back online now these days, hope we can stay in touch.

Being that your ride is always spotless and on point, its hard to point out any negatives. Its almost as if its too mirror imaged of the body lines, if that makes sense.

Chase, I undrstand wut u guyz mean on not flow'n, but I hope matching will help, along with the roof, ground'n it down. The spoiler is rksport, but I cut the tabs that run down the side of the tails. The one I hav is defective at the center. I may scratch it, depen'n on how it looks w/ the roof. I'll call u today.

Thanx for the input and I do know wut u mean.

If it helps, I didn't notice anything off. (until the others pointed it out anyways) Aside from the color not matching correctly. I like the spoiler, it's a big improvement over the stock one, IMO.

thanks! i agree on the spoiler, but the one i have has a defective center. still unsure if i will replace or scratch the idea. waiting to see how it looks with it on/off, with the cf roof.

ok, i had the frkn side skirts repainted TO MATCH. there on, but once again, they don't match. i've given up for now. i'm keeping them on for the off-season and will have them painted again next spring. they came out a little darker, but are still a little to light. i'm well aware of the issues with matching silver, it's the hardest color to match. but that's no excuse. i only wish they came out a little darker, instead. let me know what you think?

theyre still off by a lot imho. i dont know how they look in person but the angle is all wrong. the side skirts are supposed to start dipping inward toward the center of the car (following body shape) these just cut straight down.

    sorry jimmy
