This early evening (after a full day of dyno tuning) we fitted the I-Charger on my 2008 Jeep. Here are some pictures, it went on without a hitch.
That is so BEAUTIFUL... <sniffs> it brings tears to my eyes... Steve, are you going to be using the juice as well? Call me to discuss.
yes sir Jake. The FIRST Twin Screw available for the 6.1's Stay tuned for a few more popping up. hehe:whistle:
So is it finished or do you have much left to do? Any ballpark number on how long this would take for a knowledgeable tech (which would not be me lol..)
We simply mocked it up and it went in easily. The strut bar was loosened up and we slipped it underneath. There is still about a 1/4 inch. It appeared a tad closer than the stock manifold. I guess we didnt even pay much attention because it didnt seem to be an issue.
Milan, We want it dummy proof. The hardest part in my opinion is the belt. The rest is like installing the stock manifold.
Ron we need to talk. I asked the question:hmm: if one orders it with dual injector ports can the 2nd one be used for nitrous.....elvicsmilieys:..yes it can!
It looks awesome Steve. I plan on having an I-Charger on my car within the next year....hopefully sooner!!
Steve, it is imperative that you guys get a tester on the East Coast. You can pm me for my number!! :drugs::drugs: rop:
wow, that's nice. Does the I-Charger have an intercooler? Also, what sort of ballpark are we talking about dollar-wise?
The Intercooler is a option only needed if your going to a high boost install. The beauty of the twin screw is the efficiency and at 6-7lbs the discharge is ambient temps...so you will only need the optional intercooler on the higher boost or non stock installs. There will be a intercooler option that is located on the inside the manifold/supercharger Scott GS Motorsports Richwood group 562.777.1075
Any idea of when we will see dyno numbers, price, and expected release dates? It looks as though the install is insanely easy. Just by looking at it, all one has to do is relieve the pressure from the fuel rail, remove the stock manifold, put the I-Charger on, put new injectors in, install the belt, and tune.
