Ok...so the Mrs thinks my hobby of photographing my car/cars is...um...insane. She did agree to go do this one shoot with me for the Feb contest. Anyways, she really, REALLY likes the pic that I came away with. I'm thinking of getting a nice big framed version printed out for her for V-day. However I'm not really up to speed with photo editing techniques. I'm not sure if it can be made better or not, I'm just hoping I can get someone can clean it up some, so she gets the best pic possible. So...Can I get a photo editing guru to clean up this pic for me...PLEASE?!?!?!?!?
I'm not a guru for large photo images but I tried my best . The image is really large, Jason I recommend figuring out how to reduce image sizes with your new camera. All new cameras always come set with the largest image size, I learned that the hard way. 640x480 is the normal size pictures in which I take. I reduced your picture to 1600x1200 since I read you want to get a big print out. I can reduce it to less if you like. After about an hour of editing, adjustments and hoping to get a good sunset. Also trying to get the distance colors in without the faded look this is the best I could do: I slightly do photo editing, by no means am I an expert (guru) in photo editing. The adjustments I usually use I had to use on your photo and more. I also had to do some creative editing on some portions that the flash/glare hit. Your a pal so I tried to help ya .
I am not going to lie it is a pain in the dick to fix that hard shadow between the cars. It would have been awesome to have some mirrors in place to fix that. Then again that isn't something that you just carry around LOL. So far this is what I got. I hate to use B/W but it seems to grab the depth of the pic with its limitations. I will keep dinkin with it. I love the composure of the pic. The idea is there, execution is there, but that sun is hitting you hard! sorry man
Yeah, I actually took that pic like 4-5 times. I was concerned about the sun. Just seeing it on the cameras LCD. I was hoping to get a little cloud cover the day we went for the pic...but it obviously didn't happen. Jesus...I know how to change the size of the pics. I wanted big for this pic, 'cause I expected if it turned out to blow it up and frame it. The picture place told me the bigger the better when you are thinking of a 36" print so I left it on the max for the shoot. Thanks guy for the help. I figured the pic is going to be hard to work with. I can't expect perfect...I'm just hoping to give the Mrs the best picture I can.
The best pic I can get. The sun glare is hitting pretty hard in the upper-left...Ideally I want the glare to be gone(or minimized), and the color to be a little bit more...full...or pronounce...just kinda there. (if that makes any since.) The big thing I'm looking for is to soften the glare though...if that's possible.
the hard shadows (specificly around the front tires/rims) to me are more of the issue than anything the glare really is good for composure IMHO... The glare mixed with lack of detail on the couple I kinda like... It is very natural. Like I said in a previous post 1 4ft mirror to defuse the light into that region would have really helped.
I like the brownish one...but the color one looks to red. Thanks. Yeah, I've been able to eliminate most of the glare, but when I do it, it washes out most of the color...make the pic look like you are seeing it through sunglasses. I'm thinking I'm just going to have to work it out with the glare included.
Ohhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! Well in that case yup I agree take the largest pic possible especially for a 36" print. I like Mains B/W or even Ron's Brownish one. Very nice pic btw! I like the whole theme of it all. Definately catches the moment!
