I think most of your know this, but we have been planning an event in Phoenix for Jan 19th. Things are going together much faster than expected. It's going to be larger than expected. We can't tell you much about it yet, but there will be drag racing at a rented track. There will be more to come. Car show and M&G, with some surprises. If you are in striking distance and can make it to Phoenix, I highly suggest attending a very special event. This will become a yearly event that will even be bigger in 2009. Don't miss out. Big props to Joe (Fullofit) and Chris (Factory D) for saving my bacon. They will be involved with this and will be adding more info as we get closer. WWW.SRTConnection.com will be a proud sponsor. Any of our Sponsor/Venders interesting in sponsoring this event can contact Ron or myself for further info. Still putting that together.
If you can go to this, go! Was a lot of fun last year, and probably not as big as it'll be this year. I'd be going, but considering my weekly trips to three different doctors for this pregnancy and what not, I don't think I can do the 10 hr drive one way. So there better be a lot of fun, and stories and videos and photos. Especially of Hal's car.
Ohh. It will be well known in the coming week or so.... BTW Ozzie, for the first time in 5 years, I'm not going to make it out to Mooneyes this year after all. Too much on my plate right now.
Well it is ABOUT time we got the basics out in the open... All, this is going to be one hellofan event... Joe and Chris have been doing some GREAT things to pull this off. Props to them for their diligence. Last years Rumble in the Desert isn't POOP compared to what is going down this year and WE, at the "C", are PROUD to be a contributing Sponsor. ALL Mopars are invited to attend. Mark this on your calendars and come on out.
If I am looking at my calendar right I would be driving back from vegas on that day.... maybe I should stop in phoenix for a day or so :towel:
Hi, Chris and I started a little site called yourclubs to help with these sized events. This event has grown in size by a full fold each time we have sat down to discuss it. When Hal and Ron found out they had some minor problems with their event We went to our contacts to see if we could move it up to the date of the Annual Rumble in the desert. To the surprise of both Chris and I the answer by some has been yes. As we have advanced the date of our originally proposed show and race by more than sixty days we did find ourselves with some not willing to go forward with such short notice. Well their loss as we are now in negotiating with our Title sponsor for some very amazing support. We are very proud to be associated with Hal, Ron and this event. We thank the both of you for the opportunity to once again be a part such a fine effort. We are still looking for more sponsors and hope all will consider contributing in any way they can. This event will be a direct challenge by the lxers to each of the other late model mopar owners... I wish you all well atbndo, full
Very big announcement coming very soon. You guys won't believe what you will be reading. Vendors, you will be very impressed. You will want to get on board for the Rumble in the Desert II
Tamara, it takes 10 hours to get there from here (I'm in SJ)? Sounds like fun but don't know if I can go, I'd like to though. Anyone else from the Bay Area or Sacto going? Maybe we could meet up and caravan down together??
Well, about 4-5 hours to get to LA, then another 4-5 hours from there to Phoenix, nevermind whatever hellishness is going on in SoCal. And this is with me constantly telling Marc to slow down and stop taunting the Trailblazer SS. Mr. Acts all Unimpressed with Horsepower.. rop: Yeah, its a jog, but probably a lot easier in a group. Might want to start a NorCal Caravan thread over on LXforums.
That's funny! Hey, he's a guy, deep down inside we're all the same. We like cars, girls and ... RUSH!! LOL!! :harhar:
Well, I've found the car brings out the evil in EVERYONE. My mom had something to prove with everybody on our roadtrip. At least when we weren't following Ron and his trailer.
So SENSITIVE Ron! :cry2: I was making more fun of Mom being intimidated by you and my car than anything. :imao: Now you can moon me.
dahahahaah I know. Just like using the moon smiley. haha Yes, your mom did tend to go slow when driving your sled. lol
