I don't understand the difference... Do you mean black chrome or powder coat? Or do you mean gloss or flat/mat? I assume your Jeep is black.

I would suggest a powdercoating as they will last much longer than the do it yourself heat paint.

Get with BWoody for pricing and more info.

I mean should it be black paint like the color of the jeep (gloss) or powder coat (mat)

Yea, go with powder coat for durability and I'd say go with gloss. Actually I think they could color match with powder coat paint? but I'd still go with gloss black.

I say powdercoat flat black.....just looks mean. And I assume the wheels are getting the same treatment?

Check with Ryan, he was going to do the same thing. I'm pretty sure he's going the powder coating route.

You can not use powder coat, I had mine Ceramic coated last week black by the place that powder coated my wheels and they said ceramic coating would be much better than powder coating.

You can use powder on the tips, its no problem. Powder gets baked at least 275 degrees, exhaust tips dont get much hotter than that. You cannot powder headers, but you can exhaust tips.....

X2! Already powdercoated my stock 300 rims and love it. I'm planning on PW the exhaust tips and the chrome around the windows.

Each shop has their opinion on this I found out. Find a shop you trust, find out what type of warranty and ask them what they will do for you if you don't like it? Redo the PC and whatever you can work out with them.

Sounds like it may be borderline? Why not go ceramic? Cost? Availability?

john - without a doubt, go with a powder coating...... just becasue it is powdercoat does not mean it must be flat or matte finish..... i have the same brilliant black powdercoat on my wheels as is on the car. either way, definatley go powdercoat!!!
