The other night we're on the way back from a get-together and we're in the Bee. It's about 10 pm and we're driving on a straight-away through a state forest in Douglas MA. In the distance I see what initially looks to be a small animal moving on the right side of the road. I slow down and as I approach, it takes off and I realize it's fairly large owl. As soon as I come to that realization it flies straight at me and hits the Bee right near the bottom passenger side corner of the windshield and the fender/hood in that area. We stopped and looked around but couldn't find the owl so I guess it was ok. Luckily for him I slowed when I first saw it otherwise I'd have been doing 50 mph or so. My wife heard, in this sequence, me say "oh crap!" (when I saw it take off, then the bird hitting the car, then me saying "WTF!". She was pissed that she missed it cause she was turned around helping one of the kids with something.
Anyway, I assume the owl was ok and the Bee looks fine so I guess all is well.
