I went to a classic car show today here in the Orlando area and spotted this Challenger. Went over to check it out and it turned out to be the one that was redone on the tv show Overhaulin'. only had my camera phone so i didnt get alot of good pics
Very Clean interior with cobra seats, nice sound system. Car is awesome in person. Heres a link to the build pics http://www.overhaulin.com/gallery.asp?Start=0&Offset=1&target=80
I agree Maureen. My brother had a 70 Plum Crazy 340 Cuda four speed. I loved that car. That was in 1971.
nice pic vader........ i have seen this car on multiple occasions. i will admit, i like the "look" or "presence" of the car. I always usually dig foose designs, but this car was a big disappointment to me when i first saw it. it is a testament to why you can not rush doing something good!!! there are flaws galore with this car. the engine bay is not very well done, and the body work is far less then perfect. you can see where the filler shrunk up in the areas where they had to fix things, or where they shaved something. yes, i think the car is very cool, but i guess my expectations to what you see on tv being presented, were a bit off. as a car, it is nice, but far from a show piece. it does not help that everytime i have seen the car at a show it looks as if the owner spent ZERO time cleaning or detailing it...... btw vadar, what show was this??????
It was on saturday beside the Seminole County sherriffs office on 17-92. I think the name of the club that sponsored was Celery City Rollers. And yes i did notice the flaws in the body work buts its still a kick ass ride.
oh yeah vadar, it is a very cool looking ride, i was jus very disappointed on the execution of a great idea. that and the owner just does not seem to really take care of it like i thought someone who got a car done for free by others would. each time i have seen it (probably 6 times) it has been dirty.... actually dirty, not just poorly detailed, but actual friggin DIRT!!! hahahaha
interior @ this show was pretty clean and tidy. I see what you are saying though. Sounds like he doesnt appreciate what he has.
Isn't that the one built by Chip Foose and doesn't that Challenger run the first production release 392 crate motor from Mopar?
