over heating

    my turbno went bad and the engine got hot and now it burns coolant and i think i need a head gasket. did a compression test and came up with 100 in one 75 in two and 110 on the last cylinder. going order head gasket set and timing set. what do you guys think it is.

    Could be that. Or you fried your rings.

    When you get it apart check your head to see if it warped. If it ran extremely hot that could be an issue. Good luck

    replaced the headgasket and head is good and block also the rings. when we were doing the tear down we notie the head bolts werent tight but two were and a few of the things were loose. im thinking the guy who had it before me was a idiot and didnt know what he was doing. after all the crazy stuff we came to it that everything was fine and new headgasket and seals. Car runs good and feel much better then before. sorry didnt have pix on the tear down. but next plans are rebuild. thank you to all the peps who gave me help.

    Thats good to know. Weird that your head bolts were not tight...

    yeah, was trying to figure out why some wouldnt be only thing i could thing of was the owner before me did a poor job at it. Before it had power but now you can feel a smoth power and torque. my next area im going work on is my bushing.
