Grant April 15, 1982 - May 11, 2005 Friend, Brother, Father He was one of my very best friends i always though of him as my brother and we shared many great times together whether it be BBQing or suffering out in the field. he always knew how to make you smile when down. Grant, USMC The Department of Defense announced on May 16 the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. Lance Cpl. Jonathan W. Grant, 23, of Santa Fe, New Mexico was killed May 11 when his amphibious assault vehicle struck an explosive device while conducting combat operations against enemy forces in Karabilah, Iraq. Grant was assigned to Marine Forces Reserve's 4th Reconnaissance Battalion, 4th Marine Division, Albuquerque, New Mexico. To the MIA Marine SGT I had to Retrieve as a KIA I had carried him in the back of my bird for 7 hrs and was unable to find out who he was. I carried him until me my other door gunner a Marine Major and a Brit Marine Commando carried him of my bird to the waiting corps men. Never found out who you were but Im sorry I couldnt help Brother Im truly sorry may god keep your soul safe. And to all our fallen bretheren rest assure we wait our time to cross the great river Styx and we meet once again. Semper Fidelis

Army Ranger Josh Rogers was called home yesterday. Josh was a great friend to one of my buds here so I am feeling his loss. Josh died in a car accident yesterday while on leave from his 2nd tour to Afghanistan he was scheduled to return in May.
