Our server at GoDaddy had some serious routing issues last night which in turn, caused the Connection to be down for over 14 hours.

Our apologies for the inconvenience this has caused everyone.

I would also like to thank everyone who took the time to contact us about the outages.

I know I am an addict now, and hooked on the big “C” I kept checking to see if the web site was up. I even went to another forum to see if they had a post on the connection being down I was going through withdrawals.

I was guessing more a server software problem. Reason is, I was able to ping it?

    www.srtconnection.com resolved to

    Name: p3slh190.shr.phx3.secureserver.net
    IP Address: 72.167.131.131
    Location: Scottsdale (33.450N, 112.072W)
    Network: GO-DADDY-SOFTWARE-INC

I think... that's what it is now and it was that or something similar last night. So DNS wasn't screwed up and somebody on the other end was answering the ping at the IP level. Maybe that's just their gateway/proxy and they multiplex to individual servers from there?

I guess, you were the last to post before the crash, and the first to post after Ron posted we where up.

Dave and I conversed last night about this after I tried to get in touch with Ron and Chris with no response. I got home from work about 6:00PM PST and the sight was down. Dave said he was on at about 5:15PM PST before leaving work. I saved all the GoDaddy info in Word, but I don't know which computer it was. I have 2 up at home, and it was neither. lol

You could ping their server because it was an out going routing issue (or something like that). lol Chris found the issue last night, called godaddy and TOLD them what the issue was and how to fix it.

Yeah there was a failed route... lastnight there was no routing to or from. ICMP (Ping) was failing...

There is ALOT of residual issues still... I really wish large networks could start embracing OSPF instead of statics everywhere /rabble

I almost positive I can get you a better deal on a server than GoDaddy. GoDaddy's hosting kinda sucks. ;)

I work @ crystaltech.com and the president is a SRT LX owner to boot.

We're at GoDaddy because the partners get the pin-up calendars.

Damn it man, I just renewed our subscription. I will hit you up next year.

Really, we have only had two major issues with GoDaddy since we opened two years ago. And their support has been pretty good (at least with me anyway lol).

Why isn't your boss on the forum? haha
