I use that stuff too. Works awesome. Especially for those of us who can't really wash the car outside in the winter. Or for those on water restrictions in the summer.

Not abrasive at all, its a liquid.

Just add a few cap fulls to the water. I like to pre-soak with a spray bottle filled 10:1 water/ONR. Then I use the two-bucket method to keep from contaminating the ONR wash water. I dry with waffle weave microfibers and its done.

That picture was taken on a 35 degree day. The dirt on the car was from 2 snow showers in NYC. That is most likely the dirtiest I would use ONR before rinsing with a hose first.

Here's some pics of my black cars. The truck is just cleaned with OPT. The 911 is polished to within an inch of its life:

    I highly recommend it.

Those look great. What are you polishing the 911 with?

Get the wheel wells on that Avalance, it makes a big difference on an SUV.

I use a pesticide sprayer with 1 gallon of water and 3 caps of ONR. I spray the wheels, wells, and rockers. If the car is really dirty, I pre-soak the paint also.

I have the Porter Cable dual action buffer, and use a huge variety of products. I have about 15 different cleaner/polisher/scratch removers. I use a lot of Meguiar's brand professional line cleaner/polishes.

For waxes, I try everything, P21S, Natty's blue, Meguiar's brand stuff, including the old discontinued #16, some Pinnacle Soveran.

You get the picture - I can be a tad obsessive.

(oh - and the wheel wells got done after those pics, but out in the driveway instead of in the garage.)

I have a few cans of the discontinued #16.

I have been using Natty's Blue or Souveran over Zaino Z-5pro once I polish for the past year or so.

LOL - I just saw your other thread. I have most of the same stuff, except for the Zaino stuff. Never got into Zaino. (but believe it's pretty good.)

Zaino has a good sealant, tire dressing, and leather products. I haven't used the Z-PC yet. I'm hooked on Menzerna now.

I just ordered an Edge, should have it then end of January. I have a Makita, PC, and a Cyclo. The Cyclo is the least used.

Can this optimum stuff be used with it?

Sure. Optimum is only a no-hose wash.

Dont buy both Z-2 and Z-5. For the red Jeep in your pic, get the Z-5pro.

Get Z-7, Z-8, Z-5pro, ZFX, Z-16. That is a good start for cleaning and sealing the exterior.

If you want to get into polishing, its a whole new ballgame.

For wheels, you cant go wrong with Poorboy's Spray & Rinse. Dilute it, it's serious stuff.

If you need a polishing, and dont have a polisher, try the Zaino All-In-One. Its great also if you arent equipped with a rotary or porter cable.

You will see the difference between the Z2 and the Z5pro if you use ZFX as soon as you clean the mixing bottle out. Z-2 wont come out with water. Z-5pro rinses clean. Maybe its more "enviornmetnally friendly".
