If it was a 12.7, the DA hopefully played a significant role.

At a 3500' DA, it didn't play that much of a significant role... lol

Example, my track STARTS at 5500', add in the weather and we are happy if our DA is at 7000'. haha My best time LAST year at a 6800' DA was a 12.3 and that was with the piggyback ECU.

So far this year, the best I can manage is a 12.7 with a 7500' DA and NO traction. lol Gotta get the Mickey Thompsons...

BUT, the starting point for that Challenger is awesome. Once it is fully tuned, it will be a fricken MONSTER fo sho... Hell, it already is. hehe

The trailer was sweet. The graphics on it were awesome. The detail was amazing. I like, "Jeep Makes It, Hemi Shakes It".

Them guys worked their asses off on that Charger. first run on Saturday they broke an axle. Then the next three attempts resulted in tranny limp mode. Then the timing equipment started acting up big time with all kinds of wacked times showing. Then they ran again with me, hemi31, token, hemiwagn, robAGD and a few others watching. There was no way in hell that was a 10.98 run. But I will say when they ran the 11.3 and 11.4, that is a very strong car. Those were excellent runs. So no matter what, it's a killer looking ride and once they get all the bugs ironed out, she'll be one to watch out for.

How come no ones posting up their times anywhere Cam? Was the DA that bad? We were runnig around 2850 in the afternoon at The Rumble in January. Hell, that's considered pretty good DA in Phoenix. LOL

    Hal,
Well I'll share - from memory, the timeslips are in the garage and I'm not at home.

I did look back at the density altitudes. Saturday early it was damp, but they dried the track and prepped it really well I thought, you could smell bubble gum in the air :) I ran 12.99@108 with a DA of 2023. I got just one run in, then it rained and we couldn't go for two hours.

The track finally dried and we were running again with the sun back out and the air heating up. They had trouble drying the end of the track and put a ton of track prep at the end of the track(sounded like driving through glue at the end of the run), and basically nothing at the beginning. Even the guys with drag radials couldn't hook up. I ran 13.0 to 13.2@107-108 with some 2.08 to 2.20 60 foots. I calculated the DA during the afternoon to be 2676.

Onto Sunday, I showed a little late doing family stuff and I think people were laying down their best runs of the weekend early where the DA could have been below 2000. By the time I was at it the DA was 2246 but I thought the track was prepped pretty well. I ran a 13.0@108. By competition time the DA was up to 2500-2600 but I layed down a weekend best 12.93@109 and then a 13.0@108. I never got my 60 below 2.0, but I think I could have got a 12.8 if I did.

For reference, my first sig time came at a freak show DA of -700 here in Cincy, I ran the second one in Muncie with a DA of +700. So for me the air was costing two or three tenths and a couple/few mph. Being from Ohio I knew I would go a little slower and I went into the weekend with a goal of hitting the 12s so I'm not too disappointed because I did it both days. A friend with a modded 5.7 300C that has run 12.6@110 on the east coast I think ran a best of 13.3@106.

Here are the DA's that I calculated for the event:

    Sat:

    11:00 - 2018
12:00 - 2092 (because of rain, runs started around noon then delayed again after a short period)
    1:00 - 2218
    2:00 - 2367
    3:00 - 2629 (runs started back up around 2:30 and continued until about 6:30 - 7:00)
    4:00 - 2769
    5:00 - 2780
    6:00 - 2775
    7:00 - 2643

    Sun:

    8:00 - 1432
9:00 - 1931 (runs started at 9:00 and broke for 30 mins of church at 9:30)
    10:00 - 2241
    11:00 - 2355
    12:00 - 2488
    1:00 - 2620
    2:00 - 2708 (eliminations probably ended between 2-2:30)
    3:00 - 2812

I ran 12.721 @110.00, 1.965 60' in 1931 DA which would be 12.48 @ 112.4 corrected. I think that the orange Charger probably ran his 10.98 between noon and 1:00 in DA between 2488 - 2620. Traction was an issue (as always at this track) and the track is not generally known to be a fast track. ColumbusRacing.com would rather drive 2.5 hours away to NW Ohio to hold their own track days because so many members bitch about this track. On the good side though, the staff at National Trails could not have been any nicer or easier to deal with.

I am not sure why more people are not posting their times.

    Sam,
I was right behind you on one of your passes and I must say your car does a sweet burnout with that Quaife differential. It jumped the ass out a little sideways and then just smoked the shit out of both tires. It was sweet! You have me wanting to delete my cats now too:whistle:

I wish I knew if the gutted cats actually gained me anything. The sound is definitely not an improvement. I liked the way it sounded before the cat delete. I also have some drone now where I didn't have any before. I'm glad you told me about the burnouts. I always wondered and I don't have a good picture of me doing one yet. Maybe with all of the photographers, I might get one from the weekend. Looking forward to coming down to race in the fall.

I was running 11.8-9 on Saturday with a 100 shot. Bumped it up to the big boy shot for Sunday and ran 11.6's with one 11.45 in the finals. Used the Nano with a fresh bottle for that pass :)

Traction was a serious issue as well. You could not hammer it out of the hole, this killed alot of runs both days.

Actually, the right lane was okay. It was mainly the left lane all weekend that sucked, lol.

No problem. I agree, right lane was better than the left.
