Damn bro.First i seen this. Was at my little bros wedding over the weekend. Can you limp or tow it to my house??
haha yeah dude, i called u like 13million times after i broke down, hope i didnt interrupt the wedding, sorry if i did!
C'mon. Let's hear the details (before we get the results). We'd all be interested in hearing the diagnosis process. I'm thinking: If it dropped a valve it still might not make noise after the fact unless the valve broke loose. It could have dented or punch a hole in the piston and just be bent/smashed hanging up there. DTC P0138 HO2S Circuit High Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2 Ok, so this would be the case if it's pig rich. But that's the rear sensor. How would it get pig rich? a) front sensor could be bad and giving a false reading of all the way lean. PCM compensates by running it pig rich. But how come we aren't seeing a code from the front sensor? I'd expect something like 0131? or something for the heater circuit like 0136? DTC P0301 Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected Heh, that's one of the ones you can get to. If the plug was smashed then you could probably settle on the valve idea. If it was just soaked and fouled then I suppose it could be either? ...but I don't know squat so I'd love to hear the thought process. and I don't think we got all the details (Ron said something about the 03 sensor...). C'mon, spill.
Actually no bud.I left my phone at the house. But I was checking messages .I didnt get one from you.Hope it works out for you bud.damn that suks
haha sorry guys, dlrship called today and said "wont know anything until tomorrow" bastages. milans origional post on lxf listed all the codes. i can keep the car running if i keep the rpm's up, but as soon as i let off the throttle it sputters and stalls.
update: just got off the phone w/the dealership. they said broken valve spring. as far as they can tell theres no other damage. what do you guys think? double update: just got off the phone w/service manager, having them pull the head now to check the cylinder and the back of the head itself. wish me luck!
Dammit.......I knew I should have stuck with first instinct........frucking Ron making me think about shit!
So I can say I was right? It sort of dropped a valve which is still hanging up there? I'm guessing the valve is bent and the piston dented. How far can a valve be open with the piston at TDC?
bwahahahahahahahahahaha And Cam actually changed my mind... lol Glad you guys were spot on AGAIN though.
i friggin love you guys. thanks a million to cam and ron for all their help and super thanks to milan for getting the word out when he did. final verdict. broken valve spring, no further damage. going to have them put a factory spring in and continue trying to get in contact with the vendor, trying to get them to send a new set of springs, head gaskets and bolts and ill do the install down in florida (im home sick lol). but seriously guys, thanks so much for all your help, i honestly didnt expect all the phone calls and words of advice. thanks to cam i was able to call the service manager, actually sound like i knew wtf i was talking about and get an accurate diagnosis without having to tear her apart and spend a ton of money. thanks again guys, i owe you all one. cam, you know what i owe you and ron, cheetah's it is brother! drinks are on me!
