If I'm gonna be keeping the Jeep, then here's my list of upcoming plans: Transmission, Transfer Case, and Differentials Maintenance Nitto NT-05 Tires 315/35 rear 275/40 front from Morgan Performance Fabrication Repaint front end & delete all chrome on body, by Goolsby Customs (local custom shop) BWoody Lowering Springs & Swaybar links New Pioneer Nav unit and Rockford/Infiniti Stereo System Dynamat all doors and hatch lid Black Chrome Wheels by Coyote Coatings (local powdercoater) Satisfied GS-6 Brake pads from BMC Performance Thermal Research 5" Exhaust tips Dark Tinted LED taillights from Taillight Solutions It's kinda mixed emotions that the Jeep didn't sell. I wanted it to sell so I could take the next step towards an Evo or a CTS-V. HOWEVER. The plans above will TOTALLY transform the look and feel of the Jeep. Ridding it of chrome, repainting it, lowering it, swaybar links, black chroming the wheels, and installing a nice stereo system will really refresh the feel of the rig. So while I'm disappointed she didn't sell, I gotta say I'm pretty stoked about how she'll look at the end of April!!! Work on it will start in the middle of April with all the paint and powdercoat work. Stereo and suspension towards the end of the month. Or maybe vice versa, depending on scheduling. I'll post pics along the way.
Chase can I suggest not to get the GS-6 pads and opt for the 2006 CTS-V rear pads and your choice on the fronts (I'd keep the stock ones) Just my opionion bro and looking out for ya.
Why Wade?? What's the difference?? Right now I have Zeck Posi-quiets all the way around.... Hey would it be necessary at this point, to go with one-step colder plugs too?? Jeep has almost 33K miles on it, and only 4" CAI, AR Headers & no cats, magnaflow/flowmaster mufflers, and CMR tune. Would it benefit me to upgrade to the NGK 1-step colder plugs? Or would it be a waste??
not needed, but won't hurt either. Figure one step for every 100hp, you're fine for now. If you go heads/cam, then drop a heat range. Keep modding the shit outta that Jeep Chase...my wife will be happy when we buy it from you in a few years...
Lol. Crack me up dude. Cool, I'll keep the stock plugs for now..... And yes, as a matter of fact, I WILL mod the shit out of it. I'm pretty stoked actually, for all of it!! Should change the whole feel of the rig quite a bit!! Waiting to get the estimate back from the shop on the paint work. The Black Chrome powdercoating is only gonna set me back $650 for the wheels!! And with the wider meats, lowered stance, and stiffer swaylinks, she's gonna handle WAY better too!!! Damn, I need to quit talking about it, it's making me want to do it NOW!!!
Okay, here's the first batch of plans. On Monday the 12th, she goes in to Goolsby Customs. Here's what's getting done: Full repair and repaint of the front bumper Full repair and repaint of the hood Blend color into front fenders Full chrome delete, and paint body color (front bumper lip, window molings, rear parking sensors) While that's getting done, here's what else is going on: Coyote Coatings will powdercoat the wheels in Black Chrome Re-wrap the wheels in Nitto NT-05 tires, 315/35 rear & 275/40 front I'll pick the rig back up on the 16th!! Then on the week of the 26th, she'll get Eibach springs & BWoody links installed. As well as a load of new Pioneer, Rockford, Infinity audio! And somewhere in there (probably first week of April) I'll order some pimpin LED tails from Taillight Solutions!!!
The pads I suggested do not squeek like all the others do and yeah go one step colder I did a long time ago
hell, I am still confused as to IS Chase selling the Jeep or not? lol The other day, Chase lowered the price. Yikes...
I did that as a final chance/offer to give it one last shot......when I did that, a guy got interested, offered up, then backed out. So I've decided to do the above. Sorry for the confusion. But yes, I'm keeping the Jeep.
Roof rails have been painted for a long time now. I've chosen to keep the step pad black, due to the fact we have our dog get in and out from time to time, not to mention all the dirt that gathers on that thing will make it easily scratched. But I'm following your lead on all the rest. Hope ya don't feel like I'm copying you??? Just love that look.
Lol. For sure fellas. Just spent $600 at the stealership on maintenance. Front and rear differentials serviced. Transmission serviced, and transfer case serviced. NOW FOR THE FUN STUFF!!!
Its going to be great Chase! Looking forward to pics of the end result and more importantly your rewiev! Fredrikizza:
My sh!t usually breaks or I change something before I get it serviced so this is foreign to me. It's a good way to always keep good, clean and new fluids in anyway.
