Why what? Why am i looking at the t-trim? Because im looking at doing a 392 with a bit lower compression and turning up the boost a bit...
yeah but that is a Procharger.... lol The D1SC and T-Trim are comparable in terms of performance, just from different manufacturers.
Afterburner. Paul, YoungMedic, was here awhile a go. He took a video of my car idling and a few revs, and then we went for a little ride. I think I hit 6900 once in 1st. LOL just a little NA ride, never stayed in it hard in 2nd. Paul said he would have it posted later today or tonight.
this is what I DONT want. I want it to be a sleeper as much as possible. So I guess the t1 will not make as much noise at idle
Yes the YSi is comparable to the F1 Procharger...it is a Race Blower. Here is the YSi on Lisa's Mustang http://tvbmc.com/play.php?vid=764 On the Ford side it is the largest blower that will still work on the standard Vortech Bracketry...meaning it has the same bolt locations as the S and T trim blowers. How that will carry over to our rides I am not sure. The Blower is much bigger in overall size compared to the S and T trim.
Great discussion. I have no experience with SRT 8's but the technical input on this thread has been excellent. From a truck guy perspective and a long time hp freak...when you boost, you need to plan for other power train issues. Additionally, traction always requires about 30 cents for every dollar spent on horsepower. Be safe and drive 'em like you stole 'em.
Yes I am LMAO! The P1, D1, and F1 will fit into the same bracket. I see no problem with you making over 700rwhp with a D1. Now if you can just man up and order one...LOL JK Bro! Just bustin your balls!
I have procharger cars and turbo cars. You will not hear the procharger under the hood unless you are hammering it. I would recommend a D1SC procharger kit (stage II includes intercooler) if you want a good weekend racer and street machine. (You will need larger injectors, as well as something like a diablo Mafia and an SCT chip to get the most out of it. Oh yes and a bigger fuel pump and a good tune. Turbos will eat your oil alive and if you get big ones you will have a good deal of lag and the heat they generate is a real pain. You should remember the intent of your build. You really cant have a record setting race car and a street car too. These two objectives dont mix. SRT-8s dont have real strong transmissions so adding much more then 150RWHP is asking for trouble.... Just my 2 cents worth...
The YSi should fit the same braketry as the mounting holes are the same place, however it is a larger blower in overall size so there will probably be some work necessary to make it fit under the hood. I think a T-Trim would be plenty for your power goals.
