Today I went to get my catback put on and then get a dyno tune. Nothing went as planned! After getting the stock catback off they realized they had ordered the version for a R/T 2.5 pipes obviously will not fit or would I want them to! Well anyways I noticed oil had came out of the mid pipes and was pooling up on the pipes. Anyone have any idea whats going on with that? Not only that but there was some tranny fluid about to drip off the case, anyone know the tsb for that issue??

the tranny issue is an easy fix.....just a bad o-ring..... the oil in the mid pipes is wierd though???? i know there was a lot of oil in the manifold you took off, but generally it would be burnt off by the time anything got as far as the mid-pipes....... strange....

I thought it was strange too! Its posible that the oil didn't come out of the pipe because there looked like some was on the lower backside of the transmission as well. Looks like I get to go to a dealership soon.

Don't worry about the tranny. Happens to most of us lol...quick fix and you need to get it over with. I can't see that being oil in the midpipe...has to be something else.

I'd be REALLY amazed if you had liquid oil in your mid pipes and the motor is still running. Those things get hot. They get hotter inside than outside. Your sig doesn't mention anything about cat removal. Oil doesn't flow through cats. Those get extremely hot. I'm betting it's on the outside and has blown back from somewhere else. Probably the O-ring leak on the trans.

Don't mean to sound like a broken record but I agree with the others, don't see how raw oil could be comin out of the pipes, seems it would burn up before that or that your motor would be toast.

Its probably that, What I saw was the oil coming from the direction of the tip of the mid pipe running forward towards the engine while the car was on the lift without the catback on. From just looking at it it looks like thats where its running from.
