Oh I saw you hittin' it at the Beach Burger. Later when you bought that 1/4 from Ron he was laughing about the "special" ingredients he added.
well i have had a chance to sleep on this quite exhaust thing and have come to a conclusion. Chris, you are not only old but old in spirit also. lol
Maybe, Ralph, but I chalk it up to Chris being a MARY... His old exhaust was still quiet compared to mine...
now this is funny!!! lol ouch....... although true.........hehehehe did you read that on a harley bumper sticker???? you too with the "loud pipes"???? you an adam car pool to work each day in your cherry bomb equipped sled??? lol good lord...... not another harley quoting person......:ronlove: feel it in your chest???? wow....... although kinda the reason why i changed it!! lol but at least my quiet car is still faster...........:bigwink:
Pansies! I've learned to just not touch the gas if I want quiet, the engine has enough pull to get me around Dublin with only minimal usage of the accelerator and when I do get on it, it makes the idiots sitting in my blind spot(s) pee themselves and back off. Offensive defense ftw!! Though I haven't touched my engine block and I still have cats so I could theoretically pass smog in a year or two when it comes up. Just have to swap the hammer for the stock box a few weeks in advance.
smog checks....... oh man do i love living in florida!!! i remember what a huge pain that was when i drove vw bugs with 2 liter motors and dual carbs...... i literally had a spare stock motor to swap in just for smog checks!!!
x 2 .. im disgusted and i will be reporting this thread to admins lol HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! x 2! x 2 ... specifically .. "chris stop being a pussy" yes he is serious, Chase, please see Ralph's comment about Chris being a pussy
After I built this motor, i went back to stock exhaust, except for cats, I did this mainly to hear my motor rather than to hear the exhaust during break in...wanted to be sure the build was solid, and wanted to hear every possible thing I could and catch a problem before catastrophic failure and waste a lot of money. After i was satisfied all was good to go, i added Blastin Bob's reso delete...Now i'm thinking of putting the reso's back on, and just do a muffler change for something to give me more aggressive than stock, but not drone at 1800-2200 RPM...Driving in 4th in town is getting expensive at the pump. I doubt you could measure any difference on a slip at the track, stock SRT exhaust is very capable of flow at the hp level you're at. If I remember right, single 3" exhaust can flow upwards of 600hp, and we have dual 2-3/4.
yep kyle, at my levels of power, as with the vast majority of folks on these forums, the stock srt exhaust, even with reso's, is more than capable! biggest thing for me is the drone...... now that it is gone, i wonder why i did not do it sooner..... although, i like your idea of a different muffler, but keep the stock reso's..... let me know how that works!! lol
