Thanks. Maybe I'll pop out to a meet this week before I head out. I'll let you know. Otherwise if there is anything going on for new years let me know, because I'll be back in time for that.

Changed the O rings today. Car is still running 12.0 at redline. But i guess its better then 12.5 like before. So the O rings did help. Might need to try someones stage 1's to see if it makes my car run different. Is it okay to add fuel with the predator if I have an SAFC still hooked up? Or should I get that off first?

Yo Miguel gimmie a call Mang. Saw a Magnum at the dealership today.

you would still have to get the stage 1 flashed with your pcm. if you still have the SAFC hooked up, you have to ZERO it out, upload the Predator, datalog and see what your a/f are. Adj accordingly if need be. But you can't add fuel with the SAFC, only pull. With the Predator, you can add and pull fuel away. Can someone else chime in...

You can add and pull with the Predator. It actually controls fuel while a piggyback like an SAFC just clamps the map signal it doesn't actually pull fuel.

    SAFC must be zero'd out.

I have s2/s3 injectors if you want to buy them. They came off Cheryl's car, we upgraded to the FIC's.

just found out that my last day to work is saturday...shop is closing up, and that leaves me pretty much no time to find a job...i hate this economy

It was hard to explain to him your situation because we never really pinpointed what your afrs were before the tune in cold weather, so it's up in the air. I mean it's not uncommon for afrs to shoot up in the cold weather. Get a rewire and if need be, flash the predator tune and start adding fuel. The knock is a whole other story. I was getting 5 degrees yesterday, but the meth got rid of that fast. You shouldn't need stage 2's at 16psi.

My stage 1's were great for me up to 18psi. But that was with wga, exhaust, fmic and a mapclamp. Once I threw in the dtec, the cams and the ported IM/TB that day, I ran out of fuel at those levels and switched to stage 2's

Ya true, but it's never a bad idea to leave a little fuel left over. Especially in the winter.

The 93 pump tune that comes with the DS was done on a SRT-4 with just a TBE if I'm not mistaken. So the car was on pcm controlled boost. Everyone is under the impression that you get the DS and flash the 93 tune and be good to go if your on stock turbo. That is not the case as every car is different and everyone mods differently. So you will see knock depending on yours mod. You need to fine tune/adjust the 93 tune or have a canned tune made.

As for injectors. S1 will max out depending on your mods. You can upgrade to S2's or get a returnline.

AFR's... on pump gas 11.6-11.8 is a safe tune, on race gas 12.0-12.2

Cold weather plays a role yes. Understand this though... you can still run 11.6-11.8 in the cold weather. Cold weather usually means lower your boost or adjust your tune. Everyone is too caught up in reading cold weather... leaner afr's without understanding how it all works and results to that. The pcm looks at certain parameters (IAT, Ambient, etc.) from there it calculates and adjust. Hence why colder weather... lower boost levels.

Knock... you really want to shoot for no knock but you don't want to go past 5 counts of knock. It is said for every knock count you lose about 7hp. If your knocking, a bandaid is running a higher octane fuel (race gas)... you can lower the boost... check the knock sensor to see if its bad... check the torque on the knock sensor to make sure its not loose and getting a false reading.

Check your plug gap, watch your EGT's. What works for one car may not work on yours.

i'll be monitering my knock, and adj accordingly. thing is, my wga is set at 17 psi spike, ever since the 93 flash, it's jumped up to 20 spike, drop to 16/17, and 15 by redline
