lol an safc was an option but the more I get into this tuning crap, the more it bothers me and the more I have to pay attention to everything. It's getting tiring and annoying especially anyone who knows the luck I have with this car. lol maybe another time i'll run you. with my afrs like that i'm not even going to consider taking it into boost at all

First and foremost, after the changes did you reset the pcm? Giving the pcm time to relearn everything?

18psi max on Stage 1 before it pulls timing
21psi max on Stage 2 I believe before it pulls timing

I think too many things are being messed with at the same time. My personal opinion, ditch the DTEC. Seems to be giving too many problems.

With the s2 injectors in and your getting 10.0 afr's at 14lbs of boost you should bring up the boost in small increments and see if the afr's change at all. Not worth the headache.

I just don't get at the low boost your running how your car is going lean. You should have more then enough fuel at this time, your still running stock turbo.

I didn't reset the pcm because most of the time we were trying to fix the dtec itself and we just got fed up with it and the sun was going down. The only thing we changed that day was the injectors so that would have been the only reason to reset which I haven't done yet.

Dtec is being sold whenever I can get it off the car. We didn't mess with too much actually. We routed the dtec back the way it was when it screwed up at the track that day and it seemed to run fine (the new buffer board wasn't even in yet) so all it needed probably was a brain reset but even still, I don't want that to happen again. So we went out on the old buffer board (trying to figure the dtec out since it was working, before we put the new one in so it was ready to go) like it was and tried to figure out the boost (which i knew wasn't working anyway) and then tried to work with the fuel which just became a pita and with the cops, late in the day and us being annoyed we went home and swapped the injectors out and just said we'll do it another time when we pull the dtec out

the s2 injectors were b/c the vac line was through a solenoid (which wasn't working) so it was like it was off pcm boost. My afrs were at 10.5 at 12psi and after the ft desoto meet I turned it up to 14 and they got richer, probably because the pcm thought to dump fuel and didn't know there were bigger injectors in there (read on srtforums it was common to happen with s2 inj on a s1 pcm especially without a fuel controller, and my dtec was bypassed then so ya) so that's why I haven't brought it up more.

Idk how my car was running lean, after the s1 inj went back in we took the vac line off the solenoid and put it to the turbo so it was off the wga again and not the pcm through a dead solenoid. I don't have anything to control my fuel pressure which is a big thing and with all the mods I can see myself going lean, but I didn't think it would be that lean, and especially not at a 13psi hold.. I'm sure if we put the s2 inj back in and just used the wga to control it (like we could have done in the first place) then we could manage something as long as we stay within the limits of the pcm boost since I don't have a piggyback of any sort. Which is either going to be that or get a s2 pcm and go off pcm boost since the inj and pcm will actually match with each other

S1 with S2 injectors from what I've read needs to be tuned or the car will run like crap. Just what I read. You have too many mods and the car needs to be tuned inorder for it to run properly. Those cams might need to be tuned as well. Yeah I already know some cam genius on the other forums said to set it at certain degrees. But each car is different, a starting base tune is good but you need to fine tune the car.

You need someone that understands and knows how to tune the DTEC around here to get the car running right if you so choose to stay with the DTEC. Each throttle % needs to be tuned not only 100%. It's not the hard really, your just taking away fuel.

Any changes made that the pcm will see the pcm needs to be resetted. I cannot stress this enough to everybody.

Notice some of those comments they posted when I got on there yesterday were about 5-6 days old. That tells you how much I visit TR now. Barely. I go there to look for SRT-4 threads ha.

Yeah well no one around here knows the dtec that well and I have a vague understanding of what needs to happened based on talks with Turboxs, AGP, vector, realtune and N2MB, but knowing and doing is what separates me from them. There's plenty of people who claim they do and others who are like hey I run a shop, never worked on an srt4 or never done a dtec, but I can do it..umm no thanks lol. I tried, I even pm'd a few people/tuners from srtforums who did and the distance made the process really hard, so I wasn't just sitting around with my thumb in my ass either lol. As far as the cams, they're so small they won't make enough of a difference anyway. And the settings have been approved by quite a few people, one of which tuned my car Jay@N2MB and another who happened to be Tex yes the cam guru you're talking about who had these cams on his stock turbo car, and with the dtec factors I wouldn't have my priority at the cams especially when they did fine before the dtec was put in and failed, i'm trying to work one thing at a time. But back to the dtec, that's being sold anyway. Even if I could get it tuned right, unless I have a complete understanding of what's going on, how to fix it, how to adjust it etc, it does useless on my car and the dtec didn't seem too easy to play with. So I'm considering alternate routes. at least until I can save more money for something else. I'll reset the pcm this weekend and see what happens, but either way the dtec is coming out, I'm done with the thing

the stage 2 with DCR oil mod and safc neo are awesome. sell your DTEC buy a NEO with a tach adapter. you could bring it by my house if you want, we can install the stage 2 injectors and hook up the afc and get it tuned as long as you have a wideband. I have mine 11.8 across the board and falls of to 11.0 at redline. so if you want some help just let me know.

I was running 20-21 spike on Stage 1 when I had the mapclamp and tune. You hide away boost from the pcm :bye:

Something looks promising. I actually had (2) interviews today at (2) different companies. One at 12 and the other at 3. Hopefully hear something back before the weeks end.
