I know what it's for "DTC P0222 APP (Throttle Position) Sensor 2 Circuit Low Voltage " Questions are: 1. Where IS the TPS 2? 2. Attached to throttle body? 3. Is it serviceable, or do I have to replace TB? Car runs fine, drives fine, plenty of power, no CEL...no issues at all, except the lightning bolt light is on, and P0222 code. Haven't done anything new in quite a while, (other than replacing a turn signal bulb on passenger side front) so i figure it's just the sensor on it's way out. I cleared it a couple time, and it returns...did a reset and it returns. Suggestions?
It's plugged in at the TB, Kyle. Pull the plug, let sit for a few minutes, then plug back in. See if that does the trick? I had that issue last year when I picked up the car from Techco. Had no issues when I left Techco. Got to Cam's place (68 miles), no problems. Took Cam for a joy ride (lol), no problems. Left Cam's and got about 8 miles up the road and BAM, P0222. haha Luckily Cam knew what it was when I called him. Haven't had a problem since.
I did unhook it when i was investigating the problem last week, but just for a minuet or so...Should I turn key to ON or anything? Any idea what would have caused this? I haven't unhooked the TB in a quite a while, and the connection was/is secure. Wiring looks flawless also.
Cam's busy i'm sure with the move and all...i'll figure it out one way or the other. I cleared the code, then unhooked the TB for about 30 minutes. Reconnected and started car. Lightning bolt went away. I didn't drive it yet though, so we'll see if this worked this evening when I get off work.
I cleared the code then unhooked the TB for about 30 min yesterday afternoon, then reconnected. Cranked it up, and no lightning bolt or code. Let it idle for about 5 minutes, no lightning bolt or code. Drove home from the office (6 miles), no lightning bolt or code...drove in to work this morning (6 more miles), no lightning bolt or code. So far so good...
