Spent another lovely morning watching Johan work his magic with my car last weekend. He told me before we started that this particular dyno was a bit stingy, so I was not real interested in numbers, just getting things nailed down. He reworked the tune front to back, up and down....... he quickly saw that my 80lbs injectors were not scaled the best and so he went to re doing the tune completely. 93 oct pump gas, mustang dyno, 17* timing. PWR forged 6.1, novi 1500 blower, Nitrous Outlet plate system 602rwhp / 622rwtq blower only @ 11psi 687rwhp / 721rwtq w/ 100 shot @11psi First time the bottle got cracked open and we just tuned for a 100 shot. Car responded nicely. Best part........ not a single issue with the set up, no clamps coming undone, hoses popping of, tcm acting crazy....nothing......just a very smooth day on the dyno!!! speaks volumes for the quality of work done by Jon and Scott at After Hours Mopar Perf. afterwards we got to drive around spending "quality" windshield time with each other! lol car runs absolutely flawless. boost transitions smooth, part throttle driving very docile and well behaved until you go beyond half throttle!! Huge thanks to Johan for helping me get the cars tune nailed down and running strong!! These numbers, on a mustang dyno no less, are right at or above many of the stroker builds i have been seeing lately at similar boost levels. i can't wait for the races in orlando next week to see how the car runs. best part, i am legal now with my new roll bar, but that is another thread altogether! lol
New roll bar? another thread? If you can't post a link to the "other thread" right now then post some pics here.
thread and pics will happen tomm. i have to get the car cleaned up and finish putting in the swing out bar. i will say, i am quite proud of myself with the cleanliness of this install. HUGE pain in the ass install though! i did mine last weekend, a couple days before erik, and it was one of the most labor intensive jobs i have done to the car in a long time that did not involve pulling a motor!
Very nice Chris, should seat you very comfortably in the low 10's. Can you remember 5 years ago? Hehehe...
Thanks Kyle.......as for remember 5 years ago.......lol back then i was excited about finding floor mats for the car let alone doing forged/blown/nitrous motors with roll bars and low 10's for a daily driven car!! lol
Chris, are you driving or flying to SF? I really want to see your car again, and you for that matter. Post the pics of the rollbar, knowing you it will look great! Fredrikopcorn:
Haha, I guess with a roll bar it would be flying ...except where that trooper ran him down last time.
Yea, I can see it now, Chris has the RB painted "Red" (to match the under hood), forgets the RB is installed (painted "Red", Chris can't see it lol), and continuously keeps bumping his head as he enters and exits the car. bwahahaha
So you think when he opens the hood it just sort of looks empty? or do you think it sort of looks like it's made of glass?
friggin bunch of comedians i tell ya!!! oh yeah..........rollbar is gloss black.....can't miss it!! btw - i posted some pics of the rollbar.....lol
