My wife and I are going to be in Manhattan on Jan 28-Feb 2. We are staying at the Doubletree Guest Suites in Times Square. We are going to do some broadway shows, Eddie Money at BB Kings on the 31st, Ground Zero (we are both fire-rescue so this holds a special place in our hearts), and do plenty of eating. We will schedule site seeing to other areas as time permits.
We are then going to fly out to Buffalo and rent a Durango from Budget and drive to Canada's side of Niagra Falls. Staying at the Embassy Suites falls view for 3 days.
We live in South Florida so this is our winter getaway as we never get winter here! Can't wait!!

I know it sounds crazy but when you've lived here all your life and it was freak'n 81 degrees today in the middle of winter, you don't mind a shot of cold for a week or so. The only advantage of the year round warmth, is the race tracks never close!! I am hoping for snow but according to the weather, I don't think we're giong to get snow while we are up there.
We try to take a winter trip and one in late summer. So this year is New York in the winter and either Vagas or Cali in the summer.

If you gonna drive or even fly u can stay in Queens also, which is 15 min to Manhattan and 15 min to Westchester, and Jersey... It is the middle of everything and hotels are alot cheaper. That is Flushing Queens, You can search Hotels in the 11355 or 11354 Zip Codes.. Flushing is the heart of Queens. Some hotels have Parking lots so you can walk 2-3 mins to experience the Subway to the city. The 7 train leads you to Grandcentral station which is Midtown. Train ride like 20-30 mins.
