Ron I'm happy to hear the Charger is running is good with the RPD tune, dynosteve is Da Man!.........after my previous 600 mile weekend trip, the jeep just keeps getting better and better with my email tune also!
I didn't know if I was hallucinating or not since I put 150 miles on it and thought I was done seeing the benefits..but strangely enough, after 500 or more (just a guess here) it 'seems' like the car is even more responsive throttle-wise at lower RPMs. One thing I don't like is not being able to drive it the way it's intended daily...since I only have like a 7 minute commute to work. I usually take it for a boot on my favorite roads and thrash it some before I head to the track though lol..
I know what you mean Milan, I installed the tune Friday afternoon and by Sunday on my way home after a weekend of 10 full 1/8th and 1/4 mile blasts the jeep was just viscious with city and highway driving, especially passing on 2 lane highways to get around people..........almost to the point of scary going WOT at 40mph and whipping out and back in to pass.................I never said I didn't like scary....LOL!
. Scary is good my friend! lol...I really have to watch passing cars on city streets because if I give it too much, it'll just viciously open up on them, spin, and fish some....half of them probably think I'm either crazy or drunk as they meander down the road. :stars:
Thanks Bryan. And more results will continue to come in as Steve and I fix some old issues. As I understand it, the PCM has to learn the new tune. It took some trickery by Steve the first time around to get his tune to bypass the old info on the PCM. Hope that made sense? lol Since I logged over 5K miles on the original tune, the PCM remembers that. With the new tune, comes different habits from the engine, and my foot. lol So, the 500 miles was a benefit. I would expect that once we get the tune fully dialed in, that anytime Steve does an update, it will take 3 WOT runs for the PCM to accept the changes. Make sense? Shit, I am so caffeined out I can't see straight. lmao
Ron Awesome glad your results were positive. As I put the miles on, the engine has adapted and runs smooth and extremly responsive. I gained in WOT as demonstrated but the around town driveability and responsiveness is just so smooth. My idle has calmed down and it feels like its stock at a light. The most impressive thing to me is the overall driveability.......
HAHAHAHahahahahaha!............The same thing runs through my mind to when I go around people, and I know the exhaust just screams and has to make them jump, I passed my dad on the highway to see what his thoughts were on the sound and his response was "Race car"....... Makes sense to me Ron! The more miles I get the stronger it runs. Agreed!
i know this feeling as well milan!!! i only live 8 miles from work and the car does not get enough of a chance to really open up!!! lol
