thats not a miss print. alot of the newer GM vechicals have the metric conversion button. so you can change it to KMH instead of MPH which is why you MPH is a light instead of printed on the gauge. all the GM rental cars that ive driven in the past had that feature. to changed it i had to go throuh the radio menu to find it. Also changed the outside temp gauge from F to C, milage, Gal to liters, speedo, MPG to LPH.
Here is a better picture...you will note that it has MPH in the middle...and the odometer has the digital display in mph too. You are right everything can be changed to metric...except the numbers on the speedo...they are always going to be in mph.
the MPH should turn off and the KM/H should turn on. and when driving the needle will shift to a higher speed. along with everything else. http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-cts-v-series-forum-2009/170679-question-mph-km-h.html
The "V" for some reason takes my memory banks back to an infamous line in the most outrageous novel of my early years...Peyton Place...anyone remember the line??? Of course not...you are all too young...it was absolutely scandalous at the time...the page was warn thin from reading and re-reading...
Welp, don't feel so bad. We have a very expensive extended warrantee on a hummer that doesn't seem to be any good now.
Um, congrats? I think... *confused* Granted if I had money to toss around I'd get a mercedes amg of some sort...
Hey Roy, did they cure the wheel hop issue and how has the interior come along. The last time I looked at the V, it was pretty cheap looking inside.
Way cool With a monster 300C SRT8, a tricked out 08 Mustang GT/CS, and a beautiful 99 Z28, guess what my daily driver is? A 2008 Honda Pilot
Those are awesome cars, for sure! I seen, on our local Craigs list, a guy has one with 650 HP, older model, and is asking $28,500, Good buy, IF I had the $!
A time comes in life when the financial considerations are secondary. Quality of life and the impact of toys are much more important...once your daughter has children of her own...you will experience the feeling! I have not really stepped on it yet, so I don't know about wheel hop. The interior is all leather and some carbon fiber accents...they have tried to make the V a nice experience...not to the level of the high end European sedans in my opinion. The video was not me! It was just a video I found. That CTS V had a flash and drag radials...I presume the vette was a C6...it could have been a Z06 but absolutely was not a ZR1!
The 2009 CTS V is a totally new machine. The engine is fundamentally the same as the new Corvette ZR1 (LS9). The engine is referred to as the LSA. It has cast pistons rather than forged, Steel rods rather than titanium, runs 9 psi where as the LS9 pushes 10.5. The ZR1 is booked at 638 hp, the CTS V is 556 hp. Interesting brand new engine design: But my SRT 10 is still much quicker...not faster...but quicker at 1320 feet!
