Ok then my initial question of whats the difference in price on the cranks? I know stroker cranks for older chevys arent that much more then the stock throw...and balancing and pistons are going to cost the same...

I think that you are only paying for the machining on the crank in the 6.1 kit......where you are actually paying for the crank, then the machining on top of it with the 392......but I'm not sure.Wish Josh or Bruce would reply.

Erik is correct. We machine the stock 6.1L cranks to be able to do this upgraded package. It allows us to keep the cost down. We'll be seeing one of these engines running our with one of the forum members on here within the next few weeks. Comparing it to a 392, it won't be hundreds less in savings, but between $2k & $3k in savings.

Anthony, your Jeep is here for another week... Tempting, eh?

I'll get Bruce to post some more regarding the actual specific details of these packages within the next day. There's stuff I'm not sure whether they want it released or not. I can't give away the secrets, lol.

Yes I did get one.The car is running and we did the test run.Today it will be getting tuned. We'll see how she does. It's now a hybrid,FRI Intake and Heads with an HHP bottom. The combo is working very, very well.It has a new cam which is larger than anything ever put in a 6.1 bottom end due to the clearance issues with the factory pistons. This will be a very interesting summer for sure.More details to come.

Can't wait to hear how this works out. Sounds awesome. Gotta put up a video clip of how it sounds with that new cam.

Actually the new cam sounds very sedate....it's quite misleading. Some poor bastard is gonna be pissed when he gets his ass handed to him.
