Yeah Im going to call all the manufactures tomorrow, it seems their sizes vary from these online calculatorsrop:
Sorry was a crazy Monday and all Verizons sites took a shit. I have it on my agenda tomorrow morning. John
I Google'd N2O jets and saw several different HP ratings. Some didn't even show a 58. I guess you need the MFG's rating.
I saw that as well. Its funny how what one Co considers 100shot And what another Co considers 100 shot..Now I know why they made dynos..lol
NOS is saying that their numbers are aproximate RWHP,NX said same thing. Nitrous Outlet also rates RWHP.
I havent either, I guess they dyno there shots off with powerglides and 7.5" rearends. They all say numbers are RWHP, with exception of Nitrous Outlet I got a feeling I was dealing with idiots behind a computer and prolly didnt even know how to change a spark plug.
I have been on the Dyno all morning, Im currently getting the bottle refilled and will head back to Dyno. On my current B&G tune, the jets that are reccommended are too fat. I havent been able to get a a/f ratio above 10.0, realize that the af meter bottoms out at 10.0. 10.0 can be 9.2, until I get above 10.0 I wont know where I really am. So far by leaning it out I have picked up 35RWHP(471RWHP@6000), my system is programmed to cut out at 5950. I am running the number 62 jet 33 fuel, Dave at B&G has sent me another N20 tune and Im hoping to end up somewhere around 11.3. Post later tonight. John
Damn thats awesome considering its still not tuned in fully. What was the AF ratio on the 477 run? What about the torque?
Just got off the phone with John and he said they made 28 runs and had LOTS of fine tuning to do for the jetting to be correct. He will tell you more details but he ended up making like 490hp/670tq. Had a really hard time getting the AF to lean out.
LOL. And if he'd go 62/26, he'd be in the 11.5:1 range, and break 500RWHP. That sled's gonna ROCKET!!!!
Wow, that was a long day. I was at shop from about 10:30AM to after 6PM. I got my bottle filled and while at the shop, just purchased a 100# bottle. Now I can refill in my garage at my convinence :harhar: JMatt, you were very close. As much as I really wanted to bust 500RWHP, Im scared to lean it out more because in my previous experience, the vehicle will run a little leaner on the track than it does on the dyno. Dave Kasper was great to deal with, he actually answered the phone and spoke to me exchanging tunes back and forth. Im also impressed that the original tune I got from Dave was the best tune, after I leaned all out with the jets. Guys, Im beat and have a long day tomorrow, I will post more info in the next few days. I have to go back to shop and get all my files on disk. Im off to the calculators to see how big the shot was. Later John
Sounds like a long but productive day..With that being said,Did you see the HP difference as all those companys stated??Meaning 100 shot= 100 hp??
In "theory" you ran a 175 shot with that 62 jet. In reality, who even knows what "175 shot" means, and you're holding it back with that rich condition (but also being reasonable and safe about it).
