    The track was insane last night, I was fiddling with my truck trying to improve NA times and then a late oil down only let me make 1 Nitrous pass.

    1.71 60ft
    5.1879 330ft
    7.947 660ft
    89.29 660MPH
    10.3277 1000FT
    12.3479 1/4 Mile
    111.61 1/4MPH

    I really feel like I could have had a better ET, I forgot to turn off traction control and datalog showed timing pulled. I hate to sound like a coulda woulda shoulda but I know time will prove this right. I was so concerned with starting datalog, I forgot to push that damn button:sweat: I think I was using a 125 shot(#58 N20 Jet). I got my CMR tune on very short notice and hope to verify A/F ratios and HP numbers on the dyno this week.

    I think that the timing would have been pulled anyway.
    All my data logging shows that when the torque reaches about 580 Nm the timing is pulled. Mine show pulling down to about 8 degrees cylinder 1 timing.
    It is TOTALLY separate from the knock retard BTW.
    Isn't it also separate from the traction control.....?
    The tranny Nanny at it again.

    ^^^ Good point^^ As we know the key to a good 1/4 mile time is in the 60'.Maybe back off the shot a little and practice launching technique..

    Traction control will make a difference. LOL
    60' is pretty decent. Won't pick up much ET there.
    What are your other mods?
    Do you have a window switch? If so what is it set at?
    Stock converter?

    Hal,
    Are you certain about the Traction Control in the JEEP?
    If you are correct then:
    * The SRT Engineers are wrong.
    * The powerful Jeeps (nitrous, supercharged etc.) should be well exceeding the rated torque of the NAG1 transmission without the traction control.

    I am confused and not LOL.

    I'm confused too. Don't really know about TC on the Jeep. Just reacting to the 1st post. I know my car has serious issues still with TC. My build date may have something to do with it. Even with it turned completely off with Diablo. I still have to hold the button to turn it off. This alone screwed up my chances at a difference in a 11.85 at a DA of 2850, and what I might have run with a DA of around 1250 at the Rumble.

    No more runs on my stock block. Next with be with an extemely stout 426. Probably the strongest to date. We'll see.

    SRT Engineer told me that the tranny should be good for 800 TQ, flywheel, not rear wheel. We'll really be putting that to the test.

    In the SRT chat (as well as private conversations) they confirmed that my timing in the Indy built 426 was being pulled to save the NAG1 (and probably the transfer case as well). The transmission is rated at 580Nm continuous acceptable torque with acceptable 30% momentary peaks.
    This is the reason Blown7 (jeff) is working so diligently on the Jeep forum to rework our TCM's.
    Jeff will crack the TCM (see his posting on the Jeep forum today) so I'm working as fast as I can to develop a stronger version of our transfer case and NAG1.

    Not bad for your only nitrous run. What track was this at and what was the temp?

    I had a CMR tune and timing was pretty much 24 degrees total timing thru the entire rpm range. I think thats about a 6 degree advance over stock :sweat:

    Hmm Where do you guys get your info ? My Chart says

    35 HP = 35 N20 22 Fuel
    100HP = 52N20 33 Fuel
    125HP = 58N20 35 Fuel
    150HP = 62N20 38 Fuel
    175HP = 70N20 42 Fuel
    200HP = 78N20 46 Fuel

    This comes from Nitrous Outlet

    Hal, While the 60ft doesnt show it, Im pretty sure I was beyond 60ft when I lost traction before traction control enabled. My data log shows RPM climbing and a spike up from 4100 rpm to 4900 rpm and then settling back at 4300 rpm before it starts climbing back again. I have a FJO progressive controller, that begins N20@2500 with 25% and at 4135 is at 100%. My shift into 2nd gear occurs about 5975 and 3rd and 4th at 6200 so I disarm the N20 at 5900. My mods are the N20 Kit, Predator with CMR tune, BWoody CAI and 180 Thermo. Yes it is stock convertor.

    Patrick it was nice meeting you and I wish we would have got a few more runs. I will PM you a few days advance next trip to track.

    San Antonio Raceway and according to my AIT the temps were 68 degrees. My AIT is before the N20 is injected to I have to assume the outside temps were low 60s.

    This morning on my way out I made 2 runs from a dig and saw no LT or ST spark pulled, I have to assume the timing was only pulled because of wheel slip.

    Builder Bill, I always look forward to your posts, you and Jeff have always given me info to help understand these systems better.

    Thanks for your responses guys:headspin:

    Hmmmm....

    I couldn't find their chart, but there are two different types of jets out there with different numbering systems, so I don't know where they are coming from.

    Try www.dynotunenitrous.com
    They have a jet calculator - it gives the results in .0xx of an inch sizing.
