My SRT Catch Can!

First I do things a little different in my ways! So lets go! First off I wanted to get the best system I could and the proof how good it really is or not, you can look inside my intake and see for yourself at the end! 1. get a can that would have the most distance from the two ports.. 2. get a level or slightly lower angle DOWN to can. 3. increase the Dia. of the lines to increase the flow of the system both ways. :beerchug:

Notice the line to the can, oil drains to the can no up and over anything!

The Can!

Notice the center top PCV in! Then look at the side top Intake return! there is about 2 3/4 in. that the center comes down away from the intake return and a flange on the bottom center to help divert the fumes and oil from going back up to intake side.

Is that a AMW catch can? If so did you increase the size of the side port? Did it cut into the threads?

Fittings and Plugs!

I ran # 10 line and 10 an fittings. I changed the top hole to 1/2 in. and the side to 3/8 in. of the can. and changed the intake from 1/4 in. to 3/8 in. on top. Then changed the CAI side from 1/4 in. to 3/8 in. also to allow more air to go into the engine to crate a better flow all through out the engine.

Last but not Least!

The bracket for the can! It mounts over the alternator on a billet bracket. one bolt goes in the head and one goes Thur the front cover and used a bolt and washer&nut. Thank you! Donald

:friends: Yes it was a bitch! It came with 1/4 in. both holes. Took a long time to tap and not only that if you notice there are NO threads showing on any fittings and had to get them to point the RIGHT way for lines. Donald

Did you shorten the threads on the 45 deg fitting mounted on the side of the can? It looks like if the fitting is threaded into the can too far it will restrict flow against the inner spool.

:starwars: This makes me feel like Keith is with me and the force/help/friend! :starwars: NO what I did to look even better than most was to run the tap down as deep as I needed and stop with the tap so that the FITTING WOULD POINT the RIGHT WAY when tight, and be as low as possible in the can. I don't care to look at threads more work but a better look to me! I would rather go the extra way to make it cleaner looking. Thank You! Donald
PS. Here is a PIC of 2500 miles+ inside intake and back of throttle body!
I Forgot to say that I did all the work inside the intake. All you need is a Strait and 90deg. palm grinner with sanding dices, small and med. sizes, and some carbide shafts for the rough stuff on the inside where the forgings are not touched. The ports just need to be cleaned up because putting the intake on with out locator's pins you would have a hard time to get a PERFICT FIT on the gaskets because of all the PLAY.
