Handles like no other sportbike, has killer midrange, and won't get lost in a parking lot full of Jap bikes. Between the dry clutch and the barely muffled twin, the Duc sound alone really draws attention. Sounds like a Harley on crack! I love it!
I didn't think you needed to carry a tool kit with Ducati's. What up with the ratchet driver? Is that so you can tune the front suspension while you're in the corner?
Ratchet driver? Are you talking about the Ohlins steering damper? Yes that is adjustable, just wouldn't try it mid-corner Stop thinking Steve, just get one!!!! Thank you and my pleasure!
I wish I would have had one of those on my Mach III. Somewhere over 90mph it started to shimmy due to a front spoke that was loose (it wasn't even that loose...). It took about 1/4 of a second to figure out that it seemed to be getting worse letting off the throttle so I gave it more throttle and it smoothed out. Then I was going about 100 trying to think how I was going to slow down through the bad spot... I managed not to crash but it was like the movie Speed.
Thanks! Your signature pretty much describes the Duc as well, except that it FEELS like a midieval torture device.
