Well my first run with the Charger was pretty good except my 60's were for sh*t. My first run I caught a .009 reaction time 2.1, 60' and ran 12.8 @ 111.16 mph with my rear Vred at 28 psi, second run 2.0 60' and 12.9 @110 mph with the rear Vred at 24 psi, third run I bumped my tired psi back to 35 to keep the top end because I felt the low psi was holding me back on the top end and my 60' was not getting any better and ran a 2.0 60' and 12.6 @ 111 mph.

All runs on 315/35/20 rear Vreds no water box no burnout, full street trim no weight reduction what so ever. I know she has ALOT more in her if I can get the 60' down to 1.7-1.8, so it looks like its drag radial and torque converter time. Anyone want my stock rear end :D

All in all im pretty happy with how it went.

you should try a small burn out to warm the V's. Nothing fancy, just give it some gas and glaze the tires.

Ron I wanted to so BAD but I kept looking at the Vreds and feeling sorry for them and my wallet, just kept saying to myself drags next drags next leave the Vreds alone.

It's easier to hit that 2.1 with my small stock motor... I don't think I'd do that well in your car. Wheel hop? Got half shafts?

You plan on running drag radials on the street? The Nitto NT05's would be more of a street tire but might get you close.

Agree! Get the DR's ASAP and then the TC whenever you can. I know what you mean about trying to make the street tires last. I only got 8000 miles out of my F1's. It gets pretty expensive to keep replacing them that often.

I would not doubt that is happening also and if so how the hell do I fix that?
Come to think of it I did feel a shift real close to the end.

I doubt you felt a shift real close to the end on stock size tires. Probably was your torque converter finally locking up. That's another thing you could look into. I think the Mopar TCM keeps it locked up in 3rd? JMatt figured all that stuff out trying to break his 300 :)

Different size tires (and wheels). Unless you're going to change the rear end ratio.

    For example:

Stock 255/45/20 is about a 29" diameter tire.
Stock drive ratios, 6200 rpm in 3rd is about 124 mph.

So unless you got a whole lot of power you're not going to shift into 4th before the 1/4. You still want to drive it on the street so you don't want to go to some rediculous rear end ratio (cross the line at the top of 4th :) or even 5th :shok:). That means that the best case is hitting the top of 3rd gear just AFTER you cross the line. Not optimum to shift just BEFORE the line.

With those wheels and tires (25.7"), stock drive ratio, at 6200 rpm you're going to be going 110 mph in 3rd. With your big motor I'm thinking you might be trapping over 110? If so, you're going to be in 4th.

Assume stock gear ratios, then pick your shift point rpm, and then figure what tire size would be best. Then look to see what's available. You can sort of guess what mph you'll be doing at the end of the quarter to get the ET you're shooting for.

Shoot me your email in a PM and I'll send you a spreadsheet that might help.

But I really don't know how much ET it costs you to shift just before the line. Maybe not that much? I don't know.
