Believe it or not, this isn't a joke. I'm planning on running a quasi cash only business, operated by word of mouth.

I checked around some local detail shops and they're charging $79.99 for a wash, clay bar and wax! And these places churn cars out in the dozens... how detailed can they get?!?!

So, I'm offering the same service, PLUS a polish, for the same price. $79.00 ($.99 cheaper!). I'll also try getting out minor scratches, included.

Obviously, I'll either know the folks or they'll come via someone I know and they'll get top notch treatment of course. I figure a car a month or whatever will pay for gas, plus, I like doing it.

I haven't decided on interior stuff as of yet, but will consider it.

Anyone who's seen my car or felt its paint will know that I'm meticulous.

So for those in the San Diego area, spread the word. They can call or email me:

*no prank shit... as believe me, I have the means to track ya down!

    Thanks guys. Wish me luck!

I'll have a better 'ad' up soon.

I looooooove doing my own work. IMO, nobody does it better. But just every once in awhile, it'd be nice to have you do it. Damn, wish I was in Cali......

I conduct the work at my house. I got the garage and everything else here already. I may need help at times, and for 40% of my cut maybe someone I know would want to help if/when needed!

I'm not a mobile op at this time... plus, where do you live?!?!

Luis, for you... 'anyting you want. Me love you long time' (Full Metal Jacket)

If anyone didn't notice, this is Rick's brother. Go figure, huh?!!?

I'll polish something once you drag your ass out to San Diego again! Come for Easter (your mom will be here, right?!?!)! We'll do dinner all together.

I'll have to give credit to Ryan for this idea, honestly. He doesn't do a thing to his car by himself. T-stat: mechanic. Cleaning: the car wash...

There's got to be many others like that. So why can't I get a piece of the pie and do a more thorough/better job than the 'detail factories' that are all over the place in San Diego who have cars lined up... they can't spend quality time on each vehicle... it wouldn't be profitable for them to take 2 hours or so on each car. But, I sure could.

    momo,
why dont you "hire" ryan (by keeping his family hostage and threatening to call ins on him) and "persuede" him to work 22hrs a day at the going "mexican wage" of .03 a week. you will need to feed him however, i hear their people are pretty good at survivng on tortilla alone, remember a happy worker is a good worker. i hope i dont see your little operation on the 11 o'clock news.

Wow...well seeing as how it takes me about 4 hours to wash, clay, rewash, buff with 80(meguiars), then wax...I know im detail oriented...80 bucks isnt enough to pay me to do it ;) Then again I have the bad habit of helping friends for free so I guess im the fool this time. Good luck momo and you need to buy a buffer for sure!
