First of all I apologize for the dirty truck. We had 6in. snow on Friday and today(Tues) its 57 deg. So before I washed it I decided to put the hitch on. The bumper comes off pretty easy and so does the old exhaust hanger. Here are some pics. If anyone plans on doing this, when you put the rubber hangers back on do not follow the instructions. Slide the rubbers onto the exhaust only and then put the exhaust back together. After the exhaust is back on but not tightened down push the rubbers onto the hitch then tightend and align the exhaust.
Chad looks great really like the MOPAR etching on the tips that definately makes em stand out. Would the tow hooks scratch the tips or is there enough room, again great install
Here is another pic. I don't pick my boat up for another couple of weeks so I don't know about the hooks Wade. Here is a measurement for you though. I think they won't touch the exhaust.
Final pics. I picked up my boat today, using the hitch for the first time. No problems at all with the hitch. Started the trip w/ a mpg of 13.9. Drove 80 miles w/ the boat mpg dropped to 12.3 mpg. The tongue receiver was warm but not enough to burn any body part. You could leave your hand on the ball with no problems. Here are the last of the pics.
How do you like the sound of the Corsa exhaust? My mother has the pace car edition Corsa Cat back on her LS1 vette. NO droning while driving, and it gets stupid loud and intimidating when you open it up.... Only thing is it sounds like a boat while idling.
hahaha My buddy has the same exhaust on his Vette. We tease him that it is the ONLY Vette on the road that is a Diesel. hahahaha
QFT. She showed up the other day and a car gathering. some kid was making fun of the idle. She jumped on the gas while in park, looked at the kid and asked where his Honda was... I almost fell over. I know this isnt on subject but this his her sled:
