You know... you do have something there! LMAO!!! I know you're not a visual mod guy... and to be honest, neither am I really... I just want to personalize her a little... not even outwardly, but only where I will enjoy it when I pop the hood to clean the bay or open the trunk to load the stroller, look up, and think to myself "J, you managed to take an awesome car and make it better". You know... the feeling you get when she's freshly washed and waxed... after a tour de force around the lake...
The spray is paid for. We just need clearcoat and sandpaper... and Mountain Dew for our aging body shop manager. You see, if Drew was on the ball, we'd just have a cookout at his place that day!
Correct, I have Ron's OEM set which are going on in a few weeks. As for blingity mods, I'm with Ron, less is more. I'm thinking if I do another mod it'll be to replace the door panels and light grey bits on my interior and then to get some billet tech and gsm bits under the hood. My philosophy on mods is performance first, stuff I can enjoy on a daily basis (like the swaybars) and looks second. Also, I'm not investing a lot in cosmetics because I know how heartbreaking it can be when they get messed up and how anal retentive I'd be about maintaining them. That mentality just takes away from my daily enjoyment of the car, which is why my car looks pretty stock after all this time. Sure I'd like a paintjob and custom rims, but they'd get shredded pretty fast, so there's no point.
This came to mind when Jason was deciding on a hood emblem. "ICANTBELIEVEIGOTASUPERCHARGERASKMETOSEEIT"
All you paint hater can kiss my arse! Lol! Ron, just because your painter had shaky hands and couldn't get his straight lines correct and his air pressure was all jacked up cutting in and out... thus having to "call" them flames... it's not my painter's fault! Buwaaaaaaa!
You might want to do a simple custom dash emblem from BT. I'm sure a nice satin silver one than says SRT supercharged would perk things up in the car.
No, It was here. I am not a member of any other LX forum...And it was a charger. I remember, because I thought I saved the thread, for when I upgrade the Mrs ride. She kinda likes the charger, so on the off chance that I went that route... I know I posted in it. I can't find my posts, so I think it got deleted. But the tail lights were tinted, and also painted. It was on a black charger, and also I think a yellow Bee...
You're such as asshat... but, I love ya. The hood emblem has nothing to do with the blower. They don't have such an item, do they?!?!
This is a bad pic, but it is all I can find to show what they looked like... Top and side color matched to the car, the back tinted black...even with out the tint, the top and sides being color matched, it how the car should have come...IMO.
I don't plan on painting the top portion, and my tint will be lighter than that... just FYI. Thanks for the pic, though. *I don't want to get pulled over every 15 minutes.
jason - call bt and look into getting one of the special ssrt front emblems for the grill. ron has one and it looks pretty slick, but subtle...... also, is the car debadged and de-molded??? this is a must....take everything off the exterior except for the rear srt badge and your new 6.1 hood badges..... a few bt items under the hood and maybe some small bt interior accents. i love my dash knob kits with the designer cut. almost look as if they were made for the car from the start!!!! stay away from ugly flamed paint jobs, especially anything with blue.......:whistle:
Chris, car is de-molded and partially debadged (rear ram-head emblem is gone). The side HEMI emblems will be removed also IF I keep the 6.1 HEMI badges on the hood.
take the side badges off..... i held out for a long time on this, but once i did it, i can not imagine having them back on!!! sooooo much easier to wax the side of the fender now!!! hahahaha
How's Jason going to advertise to the world if he takes off his side badges? Jason "needs" to prove to the world that he is the ultimate ricer!!! 6.1 this, supercharger that, SRT whatever, blah, blah, blah....
Listen smartass, remember... I know when you leave and for how long... you'll have a set of plastic gold spinner hub caps on your shit when you come back! I do have to ask, however: how much different is it in reality, if I were to place 6.1 HEMI badges on my hood while removing my fender HEMI badges, compared to you placing SRT8 badges on your fenders? MY 6.1 HEMI badges aren't as flashy as your RED SRT8 badges. *waiting a smartass comment
