Ok so here in cali the hippies have kept us from getting a 50/50 windshield washer fluid in the stores. Any other suggestions on a cheap alternative? I have heard you can get straight methanol and distilled water and mix it yourself. If so is it a straight 1 gallon to 1 gallon?
yeah last i heard fibertech still sells it rather cheap...like 2-3 bucks a gallon. As far as ordering it from Snow thats 30 bucks for 4 gallons...when i can pay 12-15 here local and that doesnt include shipping i dont think.
Last time I ordered from Snow it ran me about $26 shipped...I have no choice because nobody sells it around here for what reason nobody knows...years ago I could get it at any part store but no more..
Here are some options to look for When using window washer fluid for injection, look for these items to insure you have a good product. * The fluid is Blue * The label says protects to -20 or -25F * No soap bubble form when you shake the bottle. Note you want to avoid mixtures that contain propylene glycol (anti-freeze). This is commonly added to window washer fluid to lower the temperature rating and is harmful to the engine if injected.
